If you find someone out there that ⁓ is trying to get you quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, I’d say yes, time is money, but if they’re not walking alongside you to show you the next steps after the next steps after the next steps to forecast for that generational wealth, and it’s something instant, I would say that’s a big warning sign right away.Micah Johnson (01:52)
Hey everyone, welcome to the Real Estate Pros Podcast. I’m your host, Micah Johnson. And today I’m joined by Tiffany Williams, who’s been making some serious moves in real estate for almost three decades now. Tiffany, welcome in, glad to have you.Tiffany Williams (02:04)
Thank you so much for having me, Micah I’m so excited to help your listeners be educated and learn and glean some wisdom over these years and just to shine some truth and light on real estate mortgages.Micah Johnson (02:17)
I’m excited for that too. I think our listeners are gonna take some real value away from how you approach real estate, your passion that surrounds it, and making sure more more people can get plugged in. So I’m excited for them to hear more. So let’s dive in. For people who may not know you yet, what’s your main focus right now and what markets do you operate in?Tiffany Williams (02:35)
So I am top 1 % of realtors. I own my own company, Williams Realty Group, and Home Site Mortgage. Both are award-winning. And I am in the Southern California area of Temecula, Marietta, Fallbrook, what we call North North County of San Diego. So that’s the area that we serve. Actually, because of being around Micah for 30 years, almost 30 years, 28 years, my husband has had these companies, our next generation, and now we’rehelping the grandchildren. We service LA County, Orange County, San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino. So we have quite a reach and that’s why I’m here.
Micah Johnson (03:14)
Right.Awesome, excellent. So let’s take a step back. What got you into real estate? What led you down this path ultimately?
Tiffany Williams (03:23)
So ultimately, I’m going to be honest, my husband and I are both from Michigan. We did not meet there. I used to do Broadway shows, national tours, and all of that. So I’ve actually come into this kind of later on. We met here in Southern California, and I was teaching at a Christian school, musical theater, using those attributes from my past. And as I was teaching, I realized that I love the education part of it. And going through a divorce,It was difficult. My husband and I, ⁓ my current husband, Paul, and I were both going through divorce at the same time and we met at the church. We were both singing on the worship team and it was a fit. It was just a fit and I could see where my teaching pouring into these kids and helping them grow and having two girls of my own. When I met him and heard what he was doing, it really is all about education and it is all about helping people and that’s really
my heart. It’s a servant’s heart. Our business is a kingdom business and it is all about serving others and helping them achieve their goals for building generational wealth. And so it was very easy transition to start with him. I started in actually 2016 and quickly we scaled our business to be the top in the area pretty much starting out from a 101 real estate, 101 classes to help people, 101 mortgages at our local libraries and really
giving value to people telling them the truth because I feel like there’s a lot of noise out there, especially right now and We were just cutting through some of that. My husband always says if you can write it with a crayon you can understand it and So he he saw so much noise and these quick fixes and really when you get that down to it There’s an easy simple plan for people to build generational wealth. It’s just getting them started and the noise
cuts in and they think they’re gonna have a quick fix and unfortunately that deters them from taking that next step. that’s really what how I got started and I just love what I do. Love what I do.
Micah Johnson (06:25)
love that your passion is out of you. And I like talking to people who have that. Cause I genuinely enjoy real estate too. It’s one of the coolest industries I’ve ever been a part of. I love how big it is. I love how they’re different parts. It lets you find yourself in it. There’s all kinds of ways that you can participate in the industry. So let’s kind of go deeper on that education part for folks that are listening that might be in that place. I’m not sure what to do. How do I get started?Tiffany Williams (06:28)
ThankYeah.
Micah Johnson (06:51)
What’s something they can think about to start cutting through that noise themselves and really get educated on what those steps they need to take are?Tiffany Williams (06:59)
Well, I would say, I mean, there’s no other better investment on the planet because it’s the one you can live in and it can work for your make your money work for you instead of working so hard for your money. I’m going to be honest here. We saw our daughters go through their school and in their business programs, they were not taught about real estate or mortgages or saving or anything like that. What they were given was a fake stock market to play with every week. And that was their homework. And we saw that. And we said, well, this is the society that we live in is to set you up actually for debt in a ⁓ way debt can be good for you as well, but it also can be bad. And so most people, what we see, and I’m sure your listeners out there, Micah, they’re gonna relate to this. The first time they learned about money was when they did a chore for their parents and then they received money for it. So here we are, I’ve done this chore, now I can go buy this product. Very consumerism. Instead of saying, okay, I’m gonna work for this chore,
of this money is going to go towards that toy, but it’s not instant gratification. I’m going to save some. I’m going to give some. So we’re creating an app called Cash Cow to help that younger generation that parents can actually use with their children as a tool and they can reward them for the savings. They can reward them for setting them up for success. And then in the school system, we’re doing that curriculum. But I can tell you right now from a real life experience when you asked me to get back to your question about someone starting over recently, we
We
helped a couple that were in their 50s that were starting over after a foreclosure a long time ago and they had been renting for 13 years and they came to us in a desperate need because their rental that they were in had mold and they needed to get out in a matter of 45 days. So we looked at their portfolio. They hadn’t saved anything. They made tremendous amount of money, but they were in this debt.
Micah Johnson (08:49)
Okay.Tiffany Williams (08:56)
debt mentality, so many loans, ⁓ many credit cards, that they didn’t believe that they could get into a home. So they were desperate, but they said, we really want to start paying ourselves with that mortgage instead of paying for 13 years somebody else’s mortgage. They want to start to learn generational wealth. And how do we do that in 45 days? Well, we did. We looked at their entire financial portfolio, which is the first step. First, you have to have a goal. So they had a goal. The goal was, I need to be in a house and theyMicah Johnson (09:14)
Right.Tiffany Williams (09:26)
were very ⁓ forced into that laser focused. So we help people do is get them focused, get them to really clarify what they really want. Is this something that they really want? Are they going to be committed to the process? Are they going to be listening? Are they teachable? Are they learnable? Or do they just want a quick fix?Micah Johnson (09:31)
Right.Tiffany Williams (09:46)
So we helped them in a very short amount of time learn how to pay off some of that debt then get their debt-to-income ratios perfect and aligned and we were actually able to get them into a home. Two homes, believe it or not, the first home. We were almost at the closing table and that home, because of some title work, could not close. So we pivoted in a day. Now they’re in the next best home, which happened to be their big, they thought was their big setback, but we were like, no.That’s God’s biggest setup for you because this is actually the better home and now we have you in this home and now they’re saving and it just doesn’t stop there. We’re helping them build that generational wealth so that they can carry that on to their children as well. So even at their age, they have adult children that are now literally learning from them and seeing them leave that legacy and we’re helping them plan for their future.
So ⁓ we have a lot of those experiences. We also helped someone recently, Micah. If you are out there and you are a renter, that’s okay. No shame in that. If you’re a renter and you’re saying…
I’ve always wanted to buy a home, but I just, I don’t think I can do it. Home prices, especially in Southern California, Micah, are really high and I just can’t do it. Well, we sat there and said, okay, get in the game. What’s your goal? What do you want to do? I want to be in a home and they’re 65 years old. How can I get you in a home at 65? They’re like, it’s too late for me. No, we can do it. What’s your goal? How can we help you get there? We help them set up a process, a systems and process, very important that we provide
for each of our clients, help them to review their debts and assets, maybe even combining, maybe how debt works, how credit cards on a mortgage side. Look at your credit rating because, I’m sorry, but those credit karmas and things like that out there are not your mortgage credit rating. And you could actually have a much higher rating. And they bought their first home at 65. Now, it wasn’t the mansion. No, it was a mobile home. But
they are so happy that they can actually start to buy a home and they had some health issues. So now they’re able to take care of those health issues and they’re projecting in the next five to six years to be able to actually buy a stick built home in the area because they’re paying themselves by paying off their own mortgage to be able to then use that home that they’re in right now as a rental property. So there’s a lot of possibilities. There’s creative financing and being an independent
Micah Johnson (12:25)
All right.Tiffany Williams (12:54)
mortgagebroker, have all these buckets we can look at for you. And so don’t just think of like, I went into Chase Bank, I didn’t get it, because they have a box. And we think outside the box to help you achieve your goals and to leave that legacy for a lifetime.
Micah Johnson (13:02)
Right. Right. And it’s what I love what you’re helping folks with is realize it’s possible for them. Cause when you’re, when you’re outside of real estate or thinking about getting in, can feel daunting. There’s so much jargon. There’s so many things that are going on where when we’re the ones that are in it every day, we see it, we understand it. We put our time in and realize, it’s not that hard, but from the outside in having to help you people into the industry, same kind of thing. It’s like, okay. You can do this. There is a way to do it. And just giving someone that hope.
Tiffany Williams (13:16)
kids.Micah Johnson (13:41)
Right. And then walking them through the hard part. Cause like you said, sometimes it doesn’t work out and that’s okay. That’s okay. Like it there, if you’re going to keep going, there’s going to be a lot of times where it actually doesn’t work out and there’s nothing wrong with that part. It’s not meant to deter you. It’s not a sign that things are going wrong. If anything, it’s a sign things are going right. Cause it’s what happens to everybody. We all go through it. One of my favoritepersonal development folks, her name is Jen Sincero. She calls it the big snooze. Like whenever you do anything with life and you say, I’m going to get this done, life comes back and says, okay, are you really? And these weird little things will happen and it’s hard and you got to get through it and problem solve. one, having someone like yourself in their corner, that’s, that’s everything. Cause none of us have to do this alone. So if you’re listening and you feel that do this with people, there are folks out there.
Tiffany Williams (14:13)
YouYeah. Yeah.
Micah Johnson (14:36)
just like Tiffany, if not Tiffany yourself, that can walk you through it.Tiffany Williams (15:21)
This is we’re really coaches everyone in life can give back and be a coach and that really is that’s actually part of what I do as well is because you every setback is actually a setup and It’s your perspective and if you have a guide and you have a coach that’s in your corner that you can call it anytime That is gonna help you say hey, I may have derailed. I need some help. I need to get back focused Encourage you and keep you going wouldn’t that be a benefit to you wouldn’t you like to have somebody that’s there? That’s going to be in your corner. That’sgoing to help guide you and at any agent stage because we all need it out there and to clear through all these quick fixes all these instant I like to say there’s always a little bit of deception in a lot of what people are selling so they’re selling like I will buy your home
for an agreed-to price. Well, I’ll buy your home right now for an agreed-to price. Well, that sounds fantastic, right? But the agreed-to part, it’s just that little bit of deception can be in there that’s like, well, who’s agreeing to it? Is it you agreeing to it or is it me agreeing to it? And that’s what we like to clear through all of that. What does that mean? What does it mean, that little fine line when you see a quote on a mortgage and then you see the little fine line with so many points?
Micah Johnson (16:25)
Right.Tiffany Williams (16:39)
Is that going to cost you more money? Is it better to get in at that rate, refinance in a couple of years, or maybe recast your mortgage? Ooh, that’s a dirty word. Mortgage brokers don’t like to say. But it’s the truth that you can actually save money and pay down, put that on the principal, and have a lower payment. called recasting. So we go through all these things with someone to help them find out what’s right for them, because you don’t even know what you don’t know, right? But we know, because we’ve been in the business that long. So we’re here to coach you through it and go right alongside, which meanslaid gratification, that’d be my biggest warning.
If you find someone out there that ⁓ is trying to get you quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, I’d say yes, time is money, but if they’re not walking alongside you to show you the next steps after the next steps after the next steps to forecast for that generational wealth, and it’s something instant, I would say that’s a big warning sign right away.
Micah Johnson (17:32)
Ooh, I’m glad you pointed that out. Cause there’s a lot of smoke and mirrors out there of folks may have done one or two deals and then start selling courses and realize actually the core selling is way easier than the real estate part. And that’s they’re doing. I heard one the other day of, and this is the kind that break my heart. I wouldn’t say successful person real estate, but they’ve been in it a long time and now they are about to lose everything and they’re.Tiffany Williams (17:46)
You got it.Micah Johnson (18:00)
their technique to save themselves is literally to sell coaching. And it’s like, what kind of coaching are you going to sell? Like you’re, you’re not doing it right. What are you going to tell them? That’s terrifying to me. Hold on a second. That is weight. And so getting that right information upfront and having someone in your corner, I can tell everybody here. I do. I have someone I talked to very regular. That’s in my corner. They’re in their later sixties. And that’s on purpose. Cause I want to see, I want to see around the corner.Tiffany Williams (18:04)
Yeah.Yes.
rates.
Micah Johnson (18:29)
and I can’t get there, so they’re already around the corner. Tell me what’s ahead. Tell me what I need to pay attention to. And then taking all that knowledge and like your work doing, passing it to my own kids. Here’s stuff that your dad was never taught. Nobody showed me this stuff. And if they would have showed me when I was 10 years old, holy cow, life, there’s about 25 years in there that could have gone way different.Tiffany Williams (18:45)
youyou
Oh my
goodness. I love it. showed, you know, the projection of, you know, compounding and all of that to our daughter, which you, our oldest daughter, when she was 16 and she was like, what? And we started over. We are the epitome. mean, both my husband and I went through divorce. We started over rebuilding at 40 years old, to be honest and transparent. I don’t care. We started building then and look where we are now. We’re investors in commercial and we just, we’ve paid off our houses. We are,
We’re also Ramsey realtors, I’m gonna tell you that if you know Dave Ramsey. So we are of that mindset of how to get there the fastest way, but we are also very open and we see debt in some ways as a good way. right now the world is teaching you debt is such a bad thing, but you really want somebody who has gone through it, who can help you, who’s been there. Because somebody just doing two or three deals hasn’t been there. And that’s okay, I’m not shaming them. They’ve got…
time to grow but if they’re not walking alongside you with their own world experience, real world experience, then just like you were saying, gleaning wisdom from someone above that’s seen it, that’s been there, that has that 30,000 foot view that can help guide you to clear your this view that you have right now with everyone feeding into you ⁓ information that may be hurting you.
Micah Johnson (20:11)
Exactly. A statement I heard ora quote I heard growing up was, it’s hard to read your label from the inside of the bottle. And that’s where folks on the outside are so helpful because you nailed it. You don’t know what you don’t know. And once you realize that for the first time, it sticks with you forever. Like, holy cow, I don’t know what I don’t know. And the older I get, the less I realize I know. Like, holy cow.
Tiffany Williams (20:19)
Love you.That’s right.
I
Micah Johnson (20:35)
I usedto know a lot now I don’t know anything and that’s because you just keep going and seeing how big things get and going out there. So one thing I highly recommend, especially in the real estate world is a lifelong learning mentality. If you can embrace that and move with it, because like you’re saying too, real estate is not fast. It’s a get rich slow scheme. And if there are people that have gotten in there, made a bunch of money quick, luck had a lot to do with it typically, but it’s
Tiffany Williams (20:38)
Yeah.Yes.
Micah Johnson (21:02)
It’s a mindset for the long haul where you’re doing this for yourself, you’re doing this for your kids, you’re changing your grandkids life. you’ve done well, what you leave behind, especially with the opportunity in America. As Americans, we’re kind of spoiled with the idea of it’s very normal to buy and sell houses and land and commercial. Like it’s normal. That’s not the case everywhere.Tiffany Williams (21:05)
It is.Yeah.
I
Micah Johnson (21:26)
And I’m very big on access. I didn’t come from much, didn’t have access to much, but real estate has a barrier where I got started as a realtor. I found my way into it to say, okay, I’m going to make real estate pay my wage and then leverage all the things I could learn. And I highly recommend that to folks. Like if you’re looking for a nine to five and you like real estate, find one in the industry. Cause then you get to look under the hood. When you see under the hood of real estate, and I’m sure your experience is the same here. There’s like the rules of real estate, there’s the game, how it works, and then there’s the people. And you have to know both. You got to know how to play the game and how to communicate it work with people. And that’s when it starts to mix and make it a long way. And the more of the rules and game you understand, the better you can serve people. The more you can show up in their world and actually be that positive influence. Because in the end, all of us just want to be successful.
Tiffany Williams (22:13)
Yes.Right.
Micah Johnson (22:21)
And ifyou can partner with people and be a part of their story and help them be successful, that’s the name of the game. Now your emotional paycheck’s getting paid, your financial paycheck’s getting paid. you go to sleep happy at night. You feel good, even when there’s stress. It doesn’t matter anymore. Cause you’re part of a long-term mentality that knows we’re just, it’ll go up, it’ll go down. It’ll be okay. We’ll all, I’m going to wake up and do it again tomorrow. And that mentality is what made me successful in real estate.
Tiffany Williams (22:27)
Yes. Absolutely.You
Exactly.
That’s
right.
Micah Johnson (22:50)
I’ll just wake up and do it again tomorrow.Tiffany Williams (22:53)
And that mentality of starting fresh and getting rid of the noise and believing in yourself and setting goals and actually using comparison as an uplifter instead of as something that people will use and it will discourage them. You can actually look, use that and leverage that comparison to show exactly someone who is maybe above or what you want to be doing or owning that house. We help show you how to use that comparison to motivate you to be that.motivator that gets you up in the morning that helps you to start over and say, can do this. If they can do it, I can do it. And then gleaning, what did they do? And then do it better. And there’s several things that we, it’s so much more. You said it’s about people. It is people over profit. That’s ours because we’re investing in you in the long run. And a lot of people get into real estate on the realtor side and they, what is it? 70 or 80 % last year never sold one home.
And there’s a reason for that because the hustle is real but the passion has to be there behind the hustle You have to have you have to love what you do If you don’t love what you do and you’re trying to make a quick buck You’re gonna burn out really fast. You have to love what you’re gonna do and I look at as a collaboration I’m coming alongside you because the better that you do is the better that I do because I get to see your growth that Encourages me and of course, you know being a Christian I love to be praying for you behind the scenes and seeing you just grow
⁓ and seeing you help your children and breaking those habits. You said you didn’t come from money. My dad didn’t. He came so poor. He actually went through newspapers at 10 years old to get an income so he could buy steak because all of his best friends were really wealthy people, which he’s still good friends with, by the way. And so he then went into the Navy so he could get the GI Bill and he started building his wealth in real estate and started, he did do the stock market thing too, but he actually built that way. But he wanted us to get our feet wet and do
ourselves and and to experience it but we did see him do it and he encouraged us and I’m telling you what he’s just like you he he didn’t have somebody above him to help lean wisdom into him but what he did realize is that if I want the finer things in life
I have to go after it. I can’t sit there and be a victim. I’m going to be a victor and I’m going to choose how to be that way and how I can get there. The quickest, fastest, work smarter not harder. And now he’s left that for us and I see the ripple effects with our kids. I mean, we’re helping our youngest. We started looking when she was 20.
Micah Johnson (25:22)
Bye.Mmm.
Tiffany Williams (25:34)
So she hasn’t bought it yet, but I mean we qualified her and everything at 20. So and she’s in nursing school. So if you know she can do it, you can do it out there. You can do it. You’d be shocked how you would be shocked. I mean every every single person I meet. What I could do this.Micah Johnson (25:48)
I agree.Yeah, I always heard it’s easier than I thought it was. Yeah, because most of the stuff you worry about doesn’t happen. Most of it doesn’t happen. We spend so much energy worrying about things that are going to happen that just don’t happen. And it throws us off. I want to jump back for a second because you said something that I found very interesting and I couldn’t agree more when you’re talking about comparison, how to use comparison effectively. So in my own life, I wrote this formula.
for perspective. That’s what I value most is perspective. my for how I get to it is comparison of whatever minus self judgment, because it’s the judgment part that gets you right. But if you want to know where you are, so I really wanted to be a professional golfer in a past life. So I printed off all the I printed off all the professional stats, I kept my own stats.
Tiffany Williams (26:33)
My husband too.Micah Johnson (26:40)
And I could see, I could compare, okay, that’s where they are, here’s where I am. What steps exist in the middle? This has zero to do with if I’m good or not. Like everybody starts out not good. It does not matter. It’s just the steps in between. So I love that how you’re talking about comparison, because it’s easy to do and then get that negative mentality towards it of, they’re just there and I’m not there and I’m never gonna get there. No, they just simply walk the steps that are in front of you. That’s it. Use that as a mirror to say, okay, one, somebody did it. There’s hope. Two, what did they do? And that’s where getting in those groups, talking to people, meeting people like you. The folks that did it are typically very happy to say, hey, here’s what I did. This is what I did. Here’s the steps. Here’s what to look out for. Here’s what to avoid. Here’s where you could really capitalize here. And it’s just like, wow, this is great.
Tiffany Williams (27:20)
Exactly. ⁓Yeah.
Micah Johnson (27:32)
And it’s that opposite mindset. I love how you’re taking the victim to the victor. Cause if one of the greatest shifts you can make is life’s happening for you, not to you. It is happening for you.Tiffany Williams (27:42)
Exactly. it’s,it is, that’s so true, Micah. So one of the things that actually prompted the book that I’m working on, everything I didn’t learn in kindergarten, ⁓ because everything that you learned in kindergarten, you know, play nice, use your inside voice, raise your hand, all they’re good, basic, but then there’s a time that you stand up and say, it’s my time.
Or I’m gonna actually use that sand that you’re throwing at me in the sandbox and I’m gonna build my empire with your dirt. So there are, it says shift of mind shift. That really started why I really am passionate about giving back is because last year at this time I auditioned for a TV show called Inside Success TV and Legacy Makers and I was chosen and I started telling my story and I started telling it from a young age and I started to see how God’s providence, they’re like,
Micah Johnson (28:07)
Right?Tiffany Williams (28:37)
need to write book because this is like this is the this is a tool this is you can help someone with all of the setbacks because they it is it’s like this you know but what happens it’s always the projectory will go up because you will learn and glean and learn from those and mold and shape and shift perspective and pivot when you need to you know and and keep growing and those are the things that I love and when I hear you talk about that it’s so encouraging because there are a lot of people that are like us that have that set that it’s the shiftof the mind shift. And do we have bad days? Do we have discouraging days? Absolutely. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t have the great days, would we? We wouldn’t have those hilltops. If we didn’t have those. So are you going to use that valley as a projection for the future? Or are you just wallowing it? And I think a lot of people do, unfortunately, just they get stuck and they stay there for too long. But eventually there’s a pain threshold and eventually you
You will get there to a point where it’s undone, I need to do something else. And what are you going to do then?
Micah Johnson (29:43)
You’re right. Humans don’t like change and we won’t change until typically we’re super uncomfortable. And when you can learn to change a little bit sooner, well, and life gets way, way better. Use those past moments in your life where you had to change its data. I’m a big journaler because I want to see, I want to understand so I can, when I experience that similar situation later, and it’s typically emotional, that’s what I document a lot, is the particular ways that I feel.Tiffany Williams (29:49)
That’s right.me.
Micah Johnson (30:09)
so that when I feel that way again, I can look at the situation and see, okay, what did do last time when I felt this way? Did it create what I want? If it didn’t, then I wanna make a different choice this time to get to where I’m trying to go. And what it showed me is as you keep going, one, those moments, become less extreme, even when they’re super hard because you’ve trained yourself to handle them. It’s one thing I teach my kids. I have a 10 and a 12 year old son and daughter. Hard is good.Tiffany Williams (30:14)
Right.Mm-hmm.
Micah Johnson (30:37)
just because it’s hard, everything you want’s on the other side of hard, it’s coming for you. And typically, I noticed this my own life, it’s so easy to get surprised by how hard hard is when it shows up. Because you’re in that hilltop zone typically, and all of a sudden it starts to drift down and you’re like, oh my God, life’s been good lately, but this is hard and this is hard and it’ll seem to kind of stack on itself. And there’s that moment where it’s like, okay, hold on, deep breath, that’s okay, everything’s okay, what’s actually happening?Tiffany Williams (30:40)
Mm-hmm.Right.
Micah Johnson (31:07)
What’s that next? And then that comparison part hits. Okay, where am I? Who’s been through this? What are the steps? How do I take this next one out and keep moving forward? If you can develop those skills, you’re unstoppable. I don’t care if you’re in real estate or not, but especially in real estate, you will become unstoppable. You will bring your dream to life.Tiffany Williams (31:07)
Yes.Exactly. Yes.
Short-term hard, we say. Long-term easy.
So if you can just get through that beginning just to get started just get in the game Just get out there, know, just short-term heart, but you’re good. There is going to be some heart So I like to tell people all the time when they when I first meet them and buyers or sellers I say we are on the airplane to hawaii Okay, or fiji? Depends and I am your captain and i’m going to get you there Are there going to be a little bumps along the way? Yes. Have you ever had a flight?
Micah Johnson (31:31)
Right.Tiffany Williams (32:01)
where there isn’t a little turbulence, but I’m gonna help navigate that. I’m gonna go around to make that and negotiate that to make it as smooth as possible so that you can land where you want to land and securing your equity. Unfortunately, sometimes we may have to turn around. We may have to go back and we may have to start over again. That’s okay, but I’m gonna get you there safe. I’m not gonna fly you through the storm so that we’re gonna crash, because guess what? You crash, I crash. You know? so I’m not gonna do that. No.
Micah Johnson (32:29)
Right. Right. And I don’t want to crash either. Okay.Tiffany Williams (32:34)
And by the way,I don’t really like to fly, even though I traveled, I’ve been to over 45 countries and traveled hundreds of thousands of miles. my husband, when he sees this, he’s going to laugh because the truth is I still don’t like to fly. But I’ve even flown an airplane once. did like to try to get over the fear, but I still, when I hit the little turbulence, go, Lord, please help me get through this. But at the end of the day, I arrived there and I’m not going to let that fear stop me from reaching my destination. Don’t let that fear stop you. Let it fuel you to get through. And yeah, you
Micah Johnson (32:49)
Hi.Tiffany Williams (33:04)
to have to like hold on white-knuckle faith? Yep. But guess what? That’s okay. That you’re building those muscles to help show you exactly what you’re saying. Looking back at the times that were what that didn’t work.to project you into what does work. Look at the times that did work and celebrate those, celebrate your wins, celebrate other people’s wins. Look at them too and celebrate with them because that celebration is teaching you what to do next and work. That’s the smarter perspective to have. ⁓ And unfortunately the world, you know, we can go on about that.
Micah Johnson (33:38)
Right. You nailed it too, celebrating your wins, taking that, especially for entrepreneurs, it’s very easy for us to look at what we’re doing wrong and want to fix it. You’re very action oriented towards it. And at the same time, it can start to have a big effect on our mentality. You start to only see wrong and then you start feeling weird when you try to celebrate stuff. And it’s something I went through in my own life where, okay, hold on, this is a win. I do need to celebrate this. And then like you said,
Tiffany Williams (33:46)
Thanks.Micah Johnson (34:05)
I realized, you know, I don’t win every day, but my friends are winning every day. Someone in my circle is winning every day. Celebrate with them. make sure you’re ⁓ part of that. One, that’s what you want anyways. You want people to celebrate with you. It feels good. So be that for other people. But at the same time, it just opens up way more of the vibes you want into your life to start having their real effect. Because then the next time problems rolled around, one, your friend group is way tighter because you’re there in the good time too.Tiffany Williams (34:31)
Right.Micah Johnson (34:33)
Andyou realize that it’s just temporary. It’ll be okay. I’ll be able to get through this.
Tiffany Williams (34:37)
Yeah, I think it’sthat one that is saying that if you feel discouraged
you encourage someone else and you will see that discouragement just goes away. It just melts. It’s amazing how that works, but it does. It works. So whenever I’m feeling a little discouraged, I go out there and I see someone that needs a little bit encouragement and I lift them up. And of course, even when I’m feeling great and I’m encouraged and I’m soaring ⁓ and I still encourage other people, but especially when I’m sitting there feeling sorry for myself or something like that, I really, I know immediately that I shouldn’t, I’ve got to
change instead of complain. So I’ve got to do something and encouraging others is really the best way you can the best gift you can give yourself is to see someone else pouring into them and see you lighting someone else’s day. It’s amazing.
Micah Johnson (35:29)
