Coach Lucy Q (00:00)
What is really the purpose of your business? What is the purpose of that vehicle that God has given you? Because it has to have much more than it’s to make money. What is the real purpose of it? And that purpose of it is directly connected to you as the human that has the only fingerprints you have on this planet, that has the only voice that you have. Do you know our voices are?
And I know they say that AI can imitate voices, but at the end of the day, it’s not the real identical voice.
Q Edmonds (02:08)
Hello everyone. Welcome to the Real Estate Pros podcast. I am your host Q Edmonds and I am excited to be here today. I’ve been talking to my guests and I’m telling you, I’m so delighted that she’s here. I’m delighted that she took time out. I’m delighted that she said yes. And I believe that we are going to learn a lot from this person. And you know how I am. I believe everybody’s story needs to be told. We all…
have the power to embrace our narrative. We all have and should have and be afforded the opportunity to be seen known and heard. And so today this guest is here and we’re gonna see her, we’re gonna know her, we’re gonna learn more about her, we’re gonna listen to her. And so I’m so excited for us to learn through the eyes and the experience of Ms. Lucy Q. Ms. Lucy, how you doing in the now?
Coach Lucy Q (03:02)
Thank you, Q. Good to see you. Good to meet you. Honored and privileged to be here. Super excited for what we are going to be able to do together to impact so many more business entrepreneurs and professionals.
Q Edmonds (03:15)
Yes, ma’am.
You taking my line. mean, yes, that’s pretty much kind of what I was going to say. So thank you. Y’all see the alignment, right? So thank you. That was great. So listen, Miss Lucy, I am the type. I do like to dive right in, right? So I would love for you to tell the people what’s your main focus these days. If you don’t mind, give us a little bit of an origin story. Kind of how you got into the space that you’re in.
Coach Lucy Q (03:17)
NUH!
.
Yeah
Q Edmonds (03:42)
And then tell us what part of the world you’re in as well. People love to know where people are geographically. So what you’re up to, your origin story and where you are. Ma’am, you have the floor.
Coach Lucy Q (03:52)
Thank you so much. Well, for everybody that’s watching, where I’m where I am at right now is in a space in a place of expansion, a space in a place of growing, building and scaling, but not alone. I’m growing, building and scaling with those that are ready to hit their summit, you know, with those that are maybe ready to go to their next level and have confronted some giants or some hurdles.
Q Edmonds (04:01)
Hmm.
Coach Lucy Q (04:21)
or some obstacles, and you just know there’s more to whatever you’ve been doing so far. ⁓ And me, I’m just like the American dream come true. I’m like the epitome of the American dream. I was born in Medellin, Colombia, first generation immigrant into United States. God has just led the way to do some phenomenal things in my life.
that I give him all the credit for. I just get to be the steward. I get to be, you know, the one that has been chosen to really show everyone. And I don’t care if you’re a millionaire, a billionaire, or if you’re just getting started. Just show everyone that there’s more to life than just the title, money, and material goods. There’s so much more. And I think that that’s really where I find myself is being that lighthouse.
that is able to tell people, hey, let’s elevate. Let’s elevate. What does that look like for you? Let me help you.
Q Edmonds (06:14)
Whoo, ma’am, ma’am, ma’am. Thank you. Thank you for taking us through the journey, letting us know what you do, where you are. I love some of the key words that you use, key words that you use kinda let us know our alignment when you use words like stewardship, you words like lighthouse. I’m like, yeah, that comes from a certain type of mindset, a certain type of way of seeing your life and seeing your responsibility of the things that you’re holding.
Coach Lucy Q (06:43)
Yeah.
Q Edmonds (06:44)
I
learned from Myron Golden. He taught me more about what that responsibility means. so responsibility is your ability to respond. You respond based on your ability. And so when we look at the responsibilities in our life, we can only respond with the abilities that we cultivated. And so I love how you talk about stewardship, talking about holding what you have, what you’re responsible for. And so I love it. I want to give you a quick.
Coach Lucy Q (06:50)
Yeah.
Yes.
Yes.
Q Edmonds (07:13)
brief summary of what you said, because I want to ask you a question. We’ll make a statement and ask you a question. So I love the fact, you know, you’re growing, you’re in a place of growing, building and expanding. You’re in a place of expansion. You are the true American dream. He was born in Columbia and you’re stewarding what God has put into your hands. And so I often make the statement, Ms. Lucy, that destiny has no wasted moments, right? Destiny has no wasted moments.
We can look at our life and you know, years has passed, years has brought us to where we are now, Moments have built, momentum has built to moments to where we are now. So Ms. Lucy, I would love to know throughout your journey, throughout your motion, throughout your moments, what has the moments taught you about yourself? Has it taught you discipline? Has it taught you resilience, humbleness? Like what is these moments on your journey taught you about you, Ms. Lucy?
Coach Lucy Q (08:08)
If I had to summarize what these moments have taught me, I’m in Southwest Florida. I am on the West Coast. I always like to say it’s the best coast of Florida. The West Coast is the best coast of Florida, but we’re also a very young area. So we’re not like Miami, we’re not like Orlando, we’re not like Boca Raton and South Beach, which everybody knows. We are really the future of Florida.
Out of everything that I’ve done for the last 26 years, today I must say that besides all the resilience and determination and the discipline and, you know, the commitments and the consistency, everything that we all know, we need to become the best version of ourselves. The one thing that all these things have taught me.
Q Edmonds (08:51)
Mmm.
Coach Lucy Q (09:03)
as I’ve walked through very successful moments and I’ve also walked through very ⁓ uncertain moments. And as I’ve reached, you know, levels of wonderful accomplishments and all the accolades and all the, you know, cheerleading and those, you know, happy moments, but also have found myself in moments of transition and really having to walk by blind faith. Because if it wasn’t for blind faith,
I wouldn’t be where I am today. All those things put together, the number one thing that I’ve learned is my identity. Identity has been the one thing that I have found, which I realized I didn’t have. I didn’t have the right identity. I didn’t grow up with the right identity. I wasn’t the businesswoman that had the identity that I was ⁓ architected to have.
Q Edmonds (10:33)
⁓ I love when you talked about identity. you know, that’s one reason why I asked that question, because I do want business owners to realize their identity. You know, because what’s at the center of your business, things can change. you hit a nail on the head because you talk about reinventing yourself. You talk about, you know, expanding and growing. So you understand more than anybody that at the center of everything is you.
Coach Lucy Q (10:46)
Mm.
Q Edmonds (11:03)
Things may change, you may relocate, the business may be renamed, but at the center of it, of your business is you. And so knowing your identity is everything. One of my mentors says, when you know who you are, you know what to do. So when you know who you are, you can reinvent yourself. It may not be necessarily easy, but it’s possible, it’s doable because you know who you are. You know your identity. And identity are different in roles.
Coach Lucy Q (11:19)
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
Q Edmonds (11:32)
Roles are things that we play. Identity is what remains who we are. After that role can be finished, done, obsolete. If you’re a mother, yes, you’re a mother. You will be a mother. But more importantly, you are a nurturer. And so even when that child maybe grows up and you do less mothering, the nurturer is still there. And so that roles and identity, knowing the difference between the two, is everything. And so I love it. I love what you’re talking about, man. What’s next for you?
Coach Lucy Q (11:33)
Absolutely.
Mm-hmm.
Yes.
Q Edmonds (12:01)
What’s next for you with the business? What’s next for you? What are you looking to solve with scale next? What’s next for you, Miss Lucy?
Coach Lucy Q (12:10)
Continued growth and expansion. think we’re living in the best times in history for taking whatever we have done in the last two decades, in the last decade, and really come to the forefront. And like I said earlier, be that voice, you know, be that messenger with the right message, because there’s a lot of voices out there. You know, when we look at social media,
And we look at all the, you know, I call it fantasy land that people are living in. At the end of the day, I believe that for a time such as this, and we’re definitely in a new generation of business and we’re definitely in a new generation of everything, nothing is the way it used to be. You know, we find ourselves as business people, as entrepreneurs, as marketplace leaders with a huge opportunity.
Q Edmonds (12:40)
Yeah.
Coach Lucy Q (13:06)
to be that guiding voice, but the right voice. Like you just said, identity tells you what to do in uncertain moments. The right identity tells you what to do when you least expect it. But I also would add that identity gives you the wisdom to know how to do it. And let me tell you, it’s only through this whole metamorphosis of going through literally
Q Edmonds (13:09)
Yeah.
Coach Lucy Q (13:36)
being broken, being shattered, being sent through the desert and the wilderness and saying like, what is going on? Like this is not supposed to be happening. I come from having everything and anything and now I don’t even know who I am. But it’s that blind faith because I just knew, I knew beyond my own head knowledge. I knew beyond my own heart knowledge. It came from the core of my being that for me,
to be all that I’ve been created to be. As a businesswoman, as a leader, as a human, I had to go through it. How am I gonna help someone get to their next level if I’ve never been through hell? How am I gonna help someone become all that they wanna become if I’ve never been alone in the desert, if I’ve never gone through the pain?
I wouldn’t have the empathy. And I think right now, Q, that is the biggest opportunity that people like you and people like me are really gonna have the ability and the capability to rise up and help so many more people. There’s no walls, there’s no frontiers, there’s no regions, there’s no countries or continents that could hold us back.
So that’s what’s next for me. I’m ready. And I know this is our moment.
Q Edmonds (15:47)
Woo, you talking that language, ma’am. You are talking that language. Ah, I love it. Oh my goodness. So I love, you want to help people. I mean, I can hear it. I can hear the servant’s leader heart. Y’all think you even said it. I believe at the foundation of insustainable business is servitude. And so because you had that servant leader’s heart, I always love to get entrepreneurs their feedback on this one word.
Coach Lucy Q (15:50)
Yes.
Q Edmonds (16:14)
So what comes to mind to you, Ms. Lucy, when you hear the word relationship? When you hear that word relationship, what rings true to you?
Coach Lucy Q (16:24)
For me, relationship is a responsibility of commitment to meeting someone where they really at. So let me explain what I mean by that. We come from business and I could be talking to someone that’s been five minutes in real estate or it has been 15 years in real estate. They could be broke, busted and disgusted like I was when I first got into real estate.
Q Edmonds (16:33)
Hmm.
Coach Lucy Q (16:53)
or just like I had an experience yesterday with a multimillion dollar producer who showed up at my weekly meeting in a Bentley. And at the end of our session, I run a weekly business growth activation hub every week. This person said to me, talk to me, tell me what you see in me.
And I was able to speak to that multimillionaire that showed up in a Bentley who told me he’s ran the best deals in Manhattan. He has put together the best transactions in the boardrooms, but I saw a broken entrepreneur. And when I shared with him what I saw, he started to cry because here’s what I know.
It’s not all about the money. I can talk to investors. I can talk to people that want to have a 10%, 12%, 19 % return on investment. I could talk to a brand new realtor that just got into real estate and has no clue what to do. I could help a team leader start their team. I can help a broker who thought, I’m selling real estate. So, hey, it’s only obvious I should become a broker and open up a real estate company.
but then finds himself lost because just because you’re a top producer doesn’t make you a great broker. But I could talk to that person and really help them align. And that’s what I know that now with everything that I’ve been able to go through, I am that person. I am that person that could have empathy, wisdom, and understand so that there is another level. It doesn’t matter. The money, listen, the money is not it. And I think we’ve had it wrong.
It’s not the money. It’s what we are capable of doing with that money to really create a generational impact. Because that’s, I really believe that’s what we’re here to do is create a generational impact. And I know when we talk about legacy, I was telling the people in the room yesterday, we’ve been taught legacy is just for our kids. No, it’s beyond our children. It’s beyond our children because our children may not want to be do what we did.
Q Edmonds (19:16)
Yeah.
Coach Lucy Q (19:20)
So legacy is beyond our children. Generational impact is beyond generational wealth.
Q Edmonds (19:26)
Yeah,
yeah. Oh, you just said, listen, you said so much. You said so much that just instinctively agree with me, just agree with me to my core. Listen, is there any topic, Miss Lucy, that I have not brought up that you would like to talk about? Is there any other words of inspiration, education, motivation? Like maybe you came in with a thought on your mind.
that you wanted our viewers to know. I just want to make sure we leave no stone unturned. So I just want to create the atmosphere or the space for you to land that message. If there’s anything else you feel like people need to know.
Coach Lucy Q (20:07)
So first of all, I love business. I love business. I love everything about business. And I am one of the people that will walk into a room, surround myself with very high level players and just become the best student I could ever be. Even if I feel uncomfortable because I do deal with the same thing we all deal with, that imposter syndrome. You know, I haven’t done what they’ve done. What am I even doing here?
What am I going to say if they ask me at what level I’m at? Because look at their level. But again, it’s seeking that true, genuine, authentic identity that has helped me overcome those thoughts, right? But the one thing that I want to tell everyone, whether you are brand new into whatever it is you’re doing, or you are a millionaire, or you’re on your way to being a billionaire is,
What is really the purpose of your business? What is the purpose of that vehicle that God has given you? Because it has to have much more than it’s to make money. What is the real purpose of it? And that purpose of it is directly connected to you as the human that has the only fingerprints you have on this planet, that has the only voice that you have. Do you know our voices are?
And I know they say that AI can imitate voices, but at the end of the day, it’s not the real identical voice.
Because our voice,
do you know our voice is a miracle? Because our voice is the only thing that does not remain behind once we’re gone.
So our creator is so powerful and I love business and faith. You know, I think that there’s, I mean, the ultimate business is the faith based business. To me, that’s the ultimate business. The ultimate business is the real faith based business. So what is the purpose of your business? What is it really intended to accomplish?
Q Edmonds (22:03)
Yes.
Coach Lucy Q (22:25)
Beyond money, beyond the title, beyond the bank account, beyond. Listen, we can make so much money we won’t even know what to spend it on. That’s not the purpose of our business.
Q Edmonds (22:36)
I really have a desire for everybody to know, you know, I’m a walk language. So everybody know their superpower. Everybody know their calling. Everybody know their purpose. Those three words may hit people differently, but when you, again, when you know who you are, you know what to do. Like when you unlock what you are supposed to do, it changes everything. It changes the way you approach.
Coach Lucy Q (22:53)
Mm.
Q Edmonds (23:05)
You handle, you steward your responsibility. So everything you said was so spot on. Miss Lucy, if someone wanted to reach out to you, connect with you, collaborate with you, learn more about what you’re doing, how can they get in contact with you?
Coach Lucy Q (23:20)
They could go to any of the social media platforms and just look up Coach Lucy Q. And I welcome everyone to, you know, talk to me, ask me questions, put me on the hot seat. ⁓ I also, you know, I have a passion for coaching people into their next level of productivity and production and growth. So I’m a certified Coach with the Tony Robbins Organization, but beyond that, you know, cause certifications are good.
But beyond that, ⁓ I have a gift. I have a gift for helping people to rise up because, you know, life is hard. Business is hard. You know, the definition of entrepreneurship, I think, is how much pain you can take once you think you’ve taken all the pain and then you got to go for more. So that’s where my coaching comes in. I have a five method coaching that I call the five, ⁓ you know, Rs, the five R method, which is Rediscover.
Q Edmonds (24:05)
Yeah.
Coach Lucy Q (24:19)
Reinvent, Redesign, Relaunch, and Reposition. And I think that’s what it really takes to go to your next level. So it doesn’t matter what business you’re in. It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in. As long as you’re a human, no one escapes. No one escapes. We all find ourselves either in some type of a pit or a bottleneck.
Q Edmonds (24:43)
Yeah.
Coach Lucy Q (24:49)
or just lost, sometimes we just get lost. We have so much we get lost, like this gentleman I was sharing about, know, millions of dollars, multi-millionaire, drove up in a Bentley, ⁓ but he’s not fulfilled.
Q Edmonds (25:01)
Mmm.
Miss Lucy, the five R’s. Listen, I appreciate you so much for coming through. Let me say three things to you sincerely. One, thank you for your time. You can be doing anything but your time. Coach Lucy Q (25:23)
Yes.

Q Edmonds (25:29)

Coach Lucy Q (26:30)
Thank you. Thanks again.
