So let them know where you are in the world if you don’t mind. So Mr. Andrew, you have the floor, my friend.
Andrew Saksa (03:45)
Awesome Q. So again, my name’s Andrew Saksa, folks. I’m VP of Strategic Channels with an organization by the name of Essential Engine. And you’re probably familiar with our magazines. You probably have seen our Essential Living magazine, the world’s first branded Spanish language magazine, Colección Esencial, or Retiring Well magazine. That’s us, guys. What we do is we help financial advisors, real estate professionals.
Wealthy individuals, small business owners, stay connected with their most important clients, prospects, and spheres for less than the cost of a Hallmark card. So that’s kind of what our organization does. We work with thousands of financial advisors, insurance agents, real estate professionals, mortgage lenders. And we’ve been doing that for 25 years. And I’m not really sharing that as much Q to impress you or impress anybody that’s watching this.
I’m doing that to impress upon you guys, very, very good at helping folks just like yourself grow their business and do it where it’s turnkey, it’s cost effective, but has huge impact for growth. And it’s my passion, Q, I’m kinda like yourself, right? I wear my heart on my sleeve. If you know that I really and truly will do anything in this world for you, right? Serve an attitude, I honestly believe is so important.
Because let’s face it, Q, when you and I are doing something great for other people and we put their needs ahead of our own. don’t know about you, man, but in my life, that has taken me to levels and places that I only dreamed I might be able to achieve. And that’s the grace of God. boy, I gotta tell you, that’s amazing people like you, Q. And everybody that is tuned in today,
it’s your passion to help you grow your business. And I’m just grateful
And thankful to everybody taking the time out of their schedule today to join us. So once again, thanks you.
Quentin Edmonds (06:21)
Sir man, I appreciate you so much. I appreciate so much that you said. we share giving praise to God. I read the Bible not necessarily because of a religious practice.
Some of that because religion is a routine, right? We all got our different routines, but I read it because I believe it has systems and principles in there that just really just helps out my life, right? Amen. That’s what I believe. It’s systems and principles that you put into place, you will find your life so much better. So, as you were talking about helping people, there’s a principle that comes from Proverbs 11:25. It says, When you refresh others, you in return will be refreshed.
And what you just said, you’re without you having to, quote or be somebody over the bed head with the Bible, you just said, listen, my life, I found out that when I help people, that it comes right back around. And I just believe again that there are principles that we can glean from. And I think that’s a great principle having a servant’s heart. And when you help people in return, somebody out there is gonna help you, no matter what situation you’re in. Every time, right? Yeah.
Andrew Saksa (07:18)
Every time. Every time
every single time.
Quentin Edmonds (07:21)
So, Mr. Andrew, I always say destiny has no wasted moments. Right. Meaning we learn from each leg of our journey, from the failure, from the success, from the pain. And so Essential Engine has been around for 25 years. and so you’ve you’ve your business been in the game for a while. I’m sure you’ve been in it for a while. So I would love to know, Mr. Andrew, throughout your journey with Essential Engine.
What have you learned about yourself? What has the journey revealed to you about you? Is it like discipline, humbleness, innovation, connectivity? Like what has the journey revealed to you about you, sir?
Andrew Saksa (07:57)
So I’ll take one quick step back before we get into the Essential Engine part. I started with another company that at the time was pretty small. folks may may know the name ReminderMedia. ReminderMedia is a great organization run by some very, very gifted, talented, smart people. I work with that company from the time we were about a ten million dollar company till today, where they’re doing about seventy million. I left ReminderMedia I was recording.
Actually, to come on board with Essential Engine because they realize that, hey, listen, we too would like to grow our business. And this guy definitely seems to get it, right? Ten years in the business, helping thousands of folks with that servant attitude. He kind of understands the landscape. So I came over to Essential Engine about nine, ten months ago, and I’ll tell you the journey over here has been remarkable. So
A couple things I was really passionate about that I wasn’t able to implement, that again the folks at Essential Engine saw the opportunity and embraced it were the Spanish community. Yeah. Well the interesting things about the Spanish community, it’s 60 million Americans today. So let’s put that in perspective, right? You got 350, 360, 370 million Americans. 60 million have Hispanic heritage, right?
Quentin Edmonds (09:13)
Mm-hmm.
Andrew Saksa (09:14)
What an amazing opportunity to serve that community and give them a tool to connect with their clients, their prospects, and their spheres that separates them from their competition, but more importantly, helps them connect to the community. And so we came out with our
Colección Esencial magazine as the very first organization to be able to bring a branded magazine to be able to do that.
That’s something I advocated for 10 years when I was with my my previous company. And it’s one of the things I’m most excited about with us. We do a lot of great things, but that’s one area just as an example of why I said, hey, listen, I love the fact that this company who’s been around for 25 years, and guys, when I tell you they work with thousands of financial advisors, thousands of insurance agents, thousands of real estate professionals and real estate investors just like yourself.
Be able to bring in more business. They decided at year 25 that they were gonna completely change their business, bring in somebody that really focuses in. And what are you doing today in your life? I’m as as I get a little bit older, I think to myself, man, I’m just starting, right? it’s crazy. Q, I don’t know about you, man, but I’ve learned more in the last couple of years.
than I did ever when I was in my twenties, my thirties, ’cause I thought I had everything figured out. And then God tells me, Hey, don’t have it all figured out yet, man. There is a whole lot more. Trust in me, believe in me. I’ll show you the path. I’ll show you the way. Don’t ever give up on yourself. Keep pushing.
Quentin Edmonds (11:30)
Yeah, so
Andrew Saksa (11:31)
And so that’s what I that’s my number one message I think today, Q, is I just want to share with people is hey, listen, there’s a lot of things going on out there right now.
Believe in God, believe in yourself, and whatever you set your mind to, whatever your mind can see and believe, I promise it can achieve.
Quentin Edmonds (11:49)
Man. I can’t remember exactly who said it, but they said it like this. If you believe you can, you’re right. If you believe you can’t, you’re right.
Andrew Saksa (11:57)
No Henry Ford, Henry Ford. It’s one of my favorite things. I say it all the time. Yeah, absolutely.
Quentin Edmonds (12:02)
Absolutely. So, man, one of my favorite books, Atomic Habits. It’s one of my favorite books. It’s not a shameless plug. I just, this has helped my life so much. And so it talks about habits or systems that you have to put in place, right? And I would love to know if you could share maybe one operational thing you’ve put into place, maybe say the last two years, that has really helped you be successful, or that has helped, Essential Engine be successful.
Andrew Saksa (12:26)
Sure. So I think the first thing that I do now is I’ve really focused on my routine.
Quentin Edmonds (12:31)
Mm, mm.
Andrew Saksa (12:32)
when I get up, I don’t hit the snooze button. It stays right when, for me it’s 7 15. I did the 5 AM Club a little hard. I’ll tell you I’m not a 5 AM Club guy. I learned that about myself. I listen to my body. Come on, man. But I get up seven o’clock in the morning. First thing I do is I give grace to God for all his blessings.
And then the next thing I do is do a little bit push ups, right? Get the blood flowing. And then I write down what it is that I want to achieve. And then I go and make sure that every single day I show up and give it a hundred and ten percent to do that. Yeah. So so that’s how I kind of operate. I listen to the Tony Robbins out there. I listen to UQ. I listen to the the Napoleon Hill.
Think and Grow Rich stuff. I listen to Brian Tracy. I listen to these mentors. And boy, I’ll tell you what, I put my my faith in God and I read a little bit of the Bible and then I’m off. Yeah. And that’s how I start every single day.
Quentin Edmonds (13:25)
Yes, sir. No, thank you for that. I think. And I wro I literally wrote it down when you said, I listen to my body. some people can do the 5 a.m., some people
choose not to. I’m not gonna say they can’t, they choose not to because we have to know you. And I think that’s why I asked that question about, destiny has no wasted moments, like you what you learned about yourself. Because at the center of what we do is us, is our mindset, right? And so listening to yourself, knowing you, how you wired, not comparing yourself to anybody else, putting a system in place that works for you to be successful.
And that’s why, I’m glad I actually asked everybody that comes on because I want everybody to take control and listen to what works for them. And not, and we can listen to everybody else try it. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. But I think all of us know we attentionality is a big thing. Routine and systems is a big thing. Like, we have the essential mindset, but how we go about that, building that structure, that framework, listen to yourself, and trust yourself. And so I’m glad you boarded that out. I really am.
Andrew Saksa (14:23)
Yeah, and I’ll tell you another thing that’s funny is I’m day nine in my new workout streak. I this one I’m gonna push for twenty one, ’cause well, you you and I both know once you do twenty-one straight days in a gym, now you’ve or twenty-one straight days of anything, guys. Yeah. Yeah, you you’ve now created a pattern in your life and it just starts to get a little bit easier. So I’m day nine in that. But the funny thing is, is I’m a little bit older, man. And I’ll tell you the knees hurt a little bit more.
when I’m in that gym every single day, the shoulder hurts a little bit more, but man, that’s where you dig David Goggins. I don’t know if you guys are Goggins fans out there, but man, when you read what that guy’s able to accomplish, then when your knee hurts a little tiny bit or your shoulder hurts a little bit and you don’t really want to push out that bench, yeah. All I do is think back to Goggins. I’m like, Yeah, I think I could probably push through.
Quentin Edmonds (15:13)
Yeah, no, I’m which I’m 45. Well, I’ll be 45 this year, December. So for my 44th birthday, I gave myself a present. I said, I’m gonna get back into the gym. And so I had lost over 100 pounds twice in my life. Wow. Yeah, twice. Gained it back, and I’m at it again. And so since December, I’m down like two shirt sizes, I can’t tell me two pants sizes. But like you said, the older you get.
It’s like you your mind sees things differently. Yeah. And so now that’s been the biggest component for me is my mindset. And like now I feel like I am in a place that’s conducive for me because I’ve learned not to compare myself with nobody else, know what works for me. And how you talked about I used to do the elliptical, that was my that was my exercise. Now my knees can’t take it. So now I do the treadmill, right? There are different.
Things that are easier on your joints or on your muscles. And again, it just goes back, and when I’m gleaning from what you’re saying, just goes back to doing yourself, right? So knowing yourself. We all know we gotta exercise, but all of us can’t run five miles. All of all of us can’t bench press 240. Sometimes we can do a represent a repetition of maybe 80, 80, put and we can maybe do 80, 20 times or whatever, instead of just trying to do 240.
Four times, it’s again it just what works for you, right? And so I would love to know, man, for for you, what’s next? What’s next for Essential Engine? What’s next for you? What’s the next real goal that you guys are looking at?
Andrew Saksa (16:40)
That’s awesome. So my goal every single day, like I told you, is to help more business owners every single day collect connect with their their their number one client, yep, their number one prospect, their most important relationship or sphere, and do it where it’s turnkey, it’s cost effective and has huge impact for their business. So what does that really mean? Right? those are great platitudes, but
What does it really mean? So for us, that means I have to build a team, go out to forty-fifty events every single year, give lots of presentations from stage, sit on panels, do incredible podcasts like this podcast today, do our own podcast, the Marketing Mindfuel podcast. By the way, check out that podcast. We gotta get Q up there real soon. So
So what we’re doing out there is we really are building our organization for helping more folks than we’ve ever helped. And that is our goal. So this year, we’re trying to help more folks stay connected with their clients’ prospects and spheres using all of our tools. I showcased the magazine because of shelf life, right? Let’s face it. A magazine today, if I put you on the cover of your own magazine.
And you show up in people’s f houses, coi, they’re gonna love that, right? Because A, everybody loves Q. And then when he starts to reach out to folks with something that connects to their family, their occupation, their recreation, and their dreams. We talked about servant attitude, right? Well, where does servant attitude start from? Well, if you knew that a large institutional investor, just as an example, if you’re a real estate professional and you want to connect to a large institutional investor.
Do you know what their family, their occupation, their recreation and dreams are? Because if you do and you’re able to connect with them with what’s important to them, guys, not what’s important to you, but what’s important to them, man, I’m telling you, number one, you’re gonna stand out from everybody else. Yeah. Number two, when the next opportunity for them comes up, they’re gonna reach out to Q. They’re gonna be like, Hey man.
Q sends his beautiful magazine, connects to me and my wife. We love to travel. He knows we love to travel. He even took our charity.
We raise money every single year. My my wife does something that’s really cool. She does what’s called Lasagna Love. So once a week, she makes lasagnas for a couple of people in town that need a little lasagna in their life. I don’t know who doesn’t need a little lasagna in their life, but my wife is a pretty good cook. So she does this right through lasagnalove.org. Check that one out. That’s a great one. Feeding people, I think, is a great way to to start helping in your community. So if if Q knew as an example, that my wife does this thing every week where she makes a couple lasagnas and runs it around town to help people out. And if Q put Lasagna Love on the back cover of the magazine that he sent to us with a QR code, if you’d like to be involved with Lasagna Love, make people’s life a little bit better.
And he sent that magazine to me. And maybe there was a personal message on the inside cover of the magazine that said, Hey Andrew, hey Tamala, congratulations on your twentieth anniversary. Really love that Lasagna Love stuff that you do out there. Take a look at the back cover. Let’s just think about that for a second. Who else is doing that? That’s that Ritz-Carlton moment that everybody is seeking and everybody has such a tough time being able to accomplish. And how did he do it?
Well it cost Q three dollars and ninety-nine cents for the magazine. He basically got on the phone and told a a coach, hey, listen, this is my top client. I know that they love this Lasagna Love. Put this stuff on the back cover of the magazine. Since it’s their twentieth anniversary, wish them happy anniversary and send that out. What did that do? That took Q five minutes. It cost him three dollars and ninety-nine cents. The magazine
Went from the mailbox, past the trash can, stayed up on that coffee table for the next four to eight weeks. And guess what? Now Q has made my wife, Kamala, a raving fan for his business because he’s supporting something that’s near and dear to her heart. Yeah. Guys, that’s how you change everything in your business. Sorry for going on and on about that, but I love it.
Quentin Edmonds (20:44)
No, literally
walk me into my next question. And this is the word I extracted from what you just said, relationship. So Mr. Andrew, I would love you you kind of just gave me your philosophy on relationship, but I kinda wanna hit the nail on the head. I want you to tell the people how important it is to build healthy relationships and what are some of the relationships that have helped you be successful.
Andrew Saksa (21:07)
Sure. I’m going to start with this relationship, right, Q? you and I every single day, what are we trying to do? We’re trying to help people stay connected and grow their business, right? Close more deals, retain more business. How are we doing it? We’re doing it with the podcast. We’re doing it by sharing some of this content, some of this knowledge. So just to bring it back to your your your thought on that, what are we what are we really trying to achieve out here, guys?
We’re really trying to help people live a life of freedom, right? That really is it. Because like you started this off saying that we only have so much time in our day for everything that we do. So if I can compress my ability to again strengthen those relationships, like you was talking about, to both halves of that household, their friends, their neighbors, their colleagues, and do it in a way where it’s turnkey cost effective, man, and more importantly, saves you time.
Man, we win. We win. So so when it comes to relationship, I was I give a lot of speeches all all over the country. And every speech that I give starts the exact same way. Raise your hand if you believe you’re in a relationship business. And I’ll tell you, to me, that’s the fundamental building block of every
Quentin Edmonds (22:14)
Sure. Mr. Andrew, so well said, my friend. Listen, man, if someone wanted to reach out to you, connect with you, collaborate with you, learn more about what you’re doing, how can they get in contact with you, sir?
Andrew Saksa (22:26)

You can check out Essential Engine. you’ll see me all over the place there. Of course I’m LinkedIn and everywhere else. Out there in the world. And man, just keep doing this because people need your positive influence. People need great content like this. And we all need to grow our relationship. So my relationship with you, brother, is I appreciate you and I thank you so much. And I’m excited to to help everybody.
Quentin Edmonds (23:12)
