Erika (01:31)
Hey everyone, welcome to the Real Estate Pro Show. I’m your host, Erika, and today we’re diving into a critical, but often overlooked part of real estate investing, moving and junk removal. Whether you’re flipping houses, managing rentals, or preparing properties for sale, getting a property cleared and ready is key. Our guest today is Rebecca Ramirez of Rambo 2, ⁓ 121.
the most trusted moving and joke removing company in Buckeye, Arizona. Rebecca, welcome to the show.
Becca (01:59)
Thank
Hey Erica, thank you so much for having me this morning.
Erika (02:11)
So awesome to have you. Let’s dive in. Tell us a little more, Becca. What sets you apart from other companies in this space, especially for the real estate companies?
Becca (02:25)
Yeah, so our company we are located in Buckeye, but for us we offer a little bit of everything for every customer. We offer everything from labor only services. So if your customer already it was moving in from out of state had pods, I can send out a crude to unload those pods for your customer. If you have a client that is moving out of state, my company we move all the way out of state.
We do packing, we do junk removal services, and we also do hauling.
Erika (03:02)
Awesome. And ⁓ from what I was looking at on your website and the questionnaire that you filled out, seems like you guys are really busy. Can you walk through with us? Like how do you guys juggle all those different services and keep things running smoothly?
Becca (03:18)
Well, let me tell you, everyone wears many hats in our company and you roll with every flow that you can get.
So we do a lot of moving, at which point when you’re done with your moving, you have a lot of the access stuff that nobody wants around their houses anymore. Like the big bulky boxes that your beautiful brand new TV came in, your wardrobe boxes that your entire closet was packed in.
Nobody wants those items hanging around their beautiful new home. So that’s where we began the junk removal services. So that way once you get settled, no rush on you take all the time you want. Make your new home yours, but when you’re done with that, go ahead, give us a call. We’ll go ahead and get all those Pesty boxes, all that shrink wrap that bubble wrap that was annoying peanuts that wind up in a million pieces all over your floor.
We’ll come in and we’ll get those all removed for you as well.
Erika (05:06)
I love it. And you said earlier that you wear a lot of hats. So this might be tricky to answer, but what’s your day to day like? How do you ensure that your team delivers top notch service?
Becca (05:19)
So again, I have an amazing crew. I put it all on them. They feed me the coffee. I book them the jobs and they go. My crew is absolutely amazing. They obviously they look for as much information from the customers that I can gather for them. That way they can are well prepared themselves for the projects that have that I have already had booked for them. ⁓
My crew is amazing. do a lot of outside of work bonding with our crew. ⁓ You know, it’s one of those things that we would never ask our crew to do something that we weren’t willing to do ourselves. So I have been put in some sticky situations that I tell people I would never do that to anybody else.
And
Again, I just put it on my crew. They’re absolutely amazing. I give them a project and they knock it out of the park every time.
Erika (06:20)
That’s awesome. When it comes to building a business, a lot of people say that the relationships and networking that they do is really important. For your business, how have these connections helped you grow?
Becca (06:36)
They’ve helped us grow because we, I 100 % believe in networking and going out, putting your name out there, putting a face to the name. So whether it’s a small job or a big job, when those people think, hey, I have somebody who is looking for moving services, they instantly think of us. Why? Because I’ve made a relationship with them.
They know us, they know our story, they know our faces, and that’s how we become the most trusted and reliable moving company.
Erika (07:14)
Yes, yes. And I heard ⁓ that you guys are looking to scale. What’s your plan? Like, what do you see on the horizon?
Becca (08:00)
Man, the horizon, it just keeps on going. So our plan is obviously we want to change the moving industry. The moving industry is one of the toughest jobs that there is. And understandably, nobody wants to work in the Arizona heat. It’s darn hot outside. But at the same time, we need to bring the moving company and get a good name back for them so that way people feel trusted.
People are understood, people are heard when they’re looking to make such a big decision. It’s not just the home that they’re moving into. They can move into a multimillion dollar home and have all of their items delivered and it’s all crushed. So we are out. Our horizon is take on the world.
One move at a time.
Erika (09:01)
Scaling a business often comes with challenges. What’s one hurdle you’re anticipating as you grow and how do you plan on tackling it?
Becca (09:11)
So for sure, one hurdle would be definitely getting the movers that feel the love for the job. Again, we are based out of Buckeye, Arizona, where it is hot. It is hot more than it is cool. And I would definitely have to say finding a staff that can keep up with our growing is going to be the toughest part hands down for us. ⁓
and to ensure that we do go ahead and successfully get that, you know, we just put our guys through lots of training, believe it or not. They have lots of videos that they have to watch before they’re even allowed to move on to the physical portions. Then they go through all the physical training of how to properly wrap and secure, how to make the most efficient but time effective.
Moo for both the customer and themselves as well.
Erika (10:11)
That’s great. Becca, let’s talk specifically about real estate investors. What’s the number one pain point you saw for them when you’re preparing, you know, you’re involved in a situation that there’s a move or a renovation?
Becca (10:30)
Yeah, so on something like that, ⁓ whether you are moving or renovating, so if you’re moving, hey, no problem, my crew can go in there, they can absolutely take care of everything, move it to your new location. We also set everything up. I’m not gonna shove everything in the door and tell you, fend for yourself, your problem, not mine. That’s not the way we work. We take the time to make sure that everything is set up for the customers.
to make sure that they can go ahead and begin their life or their job in their new location as well.
If you’re renovating, still no problem, I can still help you because all those nasty things that are gonna have to come out, whether it be the drywall, whether it be the plumbing, my company can come in as well, remove those concrete slabs, remove any of those materials for you as well.
Erika (12:07)
