Pablo (00:00)
Yeah, I would say as you know learning from my business partner too like this isn’t a fairy tale no one’s gonna come save you so you have to like do the work and if you don’t nothing’s gonna come out of it so ⁓ in the end it’s all about you and yourself taking responsibility for your actions on how much money you can make in this industry
Quentin (01:57)
Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Real Estate Pros podcast. I am your host, Q Edmonds, and I’m excited to be here today. Have another fantastic guest. You know how, you know, we always have great guests and this is a great guy here and I’m excited for us to learn more about him and what he does. I love the fact that this man will hunt for off-market deals, right? And so I’m excited. I’m excited for him.
to tell you more about what he does and for us to peek and see business through his lens. And so I want to introduce you all to Mr. Pablo. Pablo, how you doing today,
Pablo (02:36)
Good, thanks for having me on.
Quentin (02:39)
Absolutely, my friend. Man, so glad you’re here, And listen, man, I’m the type Pablo. I like to dive in, man. So I would love for you to tell the people what’s your main focus, like what it is that you’re doing within real estate. Also, if you can give us a little bit of an origin story, kind of how you got into real estate, how the passion kind of sparked. And then, man, tell them a part of the world you’re in. People love to know where people are geographically. So let’s tell them what you’re doing.
origin story and where you are. Pablo, you have the floor.
Pablo (03:13)
Let’s dive in. Yeah, so I’m a real estate wholesaler slash investor. Mainly have most experience on the disposition side and also acquisitions. Currently, I’m just on the acquisitions side. What got me into real estate was, you know how you see all these people living this high life. So what I heard from Andrew Tate is how he got into it.
Quentin (03:14)
Yes, sir.
Pablo (03:43)
he does in ⁓ making his money is he saw someone with like a Lambo and he told his friends about it and his friends were not as pissed off about it as he was and Andrew Tate wanted to learn like how did this guy get rich you know so he had to ⁓ curate that passion and build it up to something that’s sustainable so what got me into real estate is kind of similar I seen these people at a car meet they have like lines of
highly luxury and exotic cars and I would have thought to myself, boy, how do they have these? What kind of life are they living? What are they doing? And what do know? They’re in real estate. and it says like 90 % of all the millionaires that come from real estate and it’s the last avenue where people have a shot to get rich. So I just kind of went up to them and
said, you know, hey, can you give me some pointers and how you live that life? And they said going to real estate, wholesaling and investing. that’s kind of what brought me in where I am today. And currently I’m in Chicago, but I spend a lot of time in Southern California as well. So that’s where I’m from.
Quentin (05:51)
Man, I love it. Thank you, man. Thank you for taking me on a journey. Let me know what you do, kind of how you got into the space. And I’m going to just throw some stuff back at you that you just threw at me, right? So you’re a wholesaler investor. You’re on the acquisition side. You saw people living the high life, right? The high life, man. You seen Andrew Tate. So it got your wheels turning like, hey, man, they living this high life. I can live the high life too.
And so you saw people at a car meet, you walked up to some people like, hey, you know, what’s the deal? Like put me on game, you know, like what’s going on, man? And so Pablo, I said all those things back to you because I truly believe destiny has no wasted moments, right? Meaning no matter what we go through in life, momentum is building to the moments that we’re in right now. And so we borrow from the moments. They make our mindset stronger.
Pablo (06:31)
.
Quentin (06:46)
They teach us different things we didn’t know about ourself. And so Pablo, in your journey in real estate, what has the journey taught you about you? Has it taught you discipline, resilience? Like what has these moments taught you about yourself, Pablo?
Pablo (06:59)
Yeah, I would say it taught me a lot of resilience. mean there are months where you’re go dry and I mean you could Play it on the market or so be but ⁓ Ultimately, it’s a numbers game and harnessing the skill and sharpening your craft. So it’s taught me a lot of resilience I would say the most part because there are months where I would just be I’d even making
any money, any commission, but still be at it like 12, 13, 14, 15 hours a day, still doing whatever it takes to get in contact with these investors and promoting my deals and funding the deals and working with my business partners, just working basically around the clock. so I love how it taught me resiliency.
Quentin (07:46)
Yeah, yeah. I love it, man. And I thank you, man, for talking about the adversities because, you know, no business is perfect, man. There’s ups and downs. There’s times when we have to pivot fast. And so what are, are there, can you give me a story of a moment, like when you had to pivot fast, maybe like when things didn’t go the way you expected it to go, like how did you overcome that, man?
Pablo (08:12)
I would say leaning on the shoulders of my business partners because you know sometimes I would be stuck on a deal and not know what to do further maybe to persuade enough the buyer in a better way or explain our process better so that they can understand it so I would often have to you know just lean on the shoulders of my business partners since you know I would for example work on a deal with
a buyer for about a week and a half, weeks. then it seems like from their point of view, they didn’t understand our process the way that I was explaining it. So they we had a week off and then so they would contact me a week later after we worked together. And then I would just say, you know what? They contact me again. They are serious, obviously, but maybe they don’t understand our process or
⁓ You know how we do things in the way that I ⁓ explained it to them so I had to just humble myself and just you know share my commissions with my business partner but ⁓ ultimately we were able to get the deal done as I passed it along to my teammate.
Quentin (09:31)
Absolutely. No, man, I love it. Man, I love it. Thank you, sir. Thank you for sharing because all of us face adversities within business. And I appreciate your reflective, thoughtful answer because if somebody listening, we don’t know where they’re on in their journey. So I think gleaning from you on how to overcome obstacles is going to be a fantastic tool for them to be able to take and put into their tool bag so that can help them empower them more on their journey.
Let me ask you this man. What’s the next real goal for you, sir? What are you looking to solve a scale next man?
Pablo (10:40)
go internationally to Dubai. Do some real estate in Dubai.
Quentin (10:45)
Let’s go. Let’s go, man. You want some real estate in Dubai. I got some business I want to take you to Dubai, too, man. That’s how I feel you. So real estate in Dubai, I love it, man. I love it. So man, I know you mentioned some partners. You talked about you’re hinting to that you’re not in this alone. So sir, when you hear the word relationship,
What does that mean to you? Has it served you well within business? Tell me your perspective when it comes to relationships in business.
Pablo (11:19)
Yeah, of course, I think it’s the most critical and important thing and it’s done wonders and served me well. Just, ⁓ it’s all about cultivating, developing and sustaining the relationships. To me, it would mean just working together, you know, give, forgive, you give something to them, they give something for you. It’s a win-win situation. And so like you can look at it as you’re both doing things for each other, helping each other out. So, ⁓ that would be.
be what a relationship is.
Quentin (11:51)
Yeah, yeah, no, no, I love it, man. Hey, so what’s the name of the company, Bommo?
Pablo (11:58)
yeah, ⁓ Ember Holdings.
Quentin (12:02)
You say Ember?
Pablo (12:04)
Yeah.
Quentin (12:06)
Okay, Ember Holdings is, I love it. Is there a story behind the name?
Pablo (12:14)
⁓ just…
know, everything with the fire and just rising like a phoenix.
Quentin (12:22)
Yeah.
Yes sir! ⁓ man, I love them!
Pablo (12:27)
Even our sister companies like Phoenix
Capital, everything has to do with the fire.
Quentin (12:32)
Yeah!
⁓ man, I love that one thing about fire. If it ever finds you sometimes it won’t burn you up and literally find you, refind you and show you your true value. Just like gold. Right. And so I love that man. Ember Holdings’s man. I love it. ⁓ listen, Pablo, is there any subject that I have not brought up that you would like to talk about? Or is there any other words of inspiration, education, motivation? I just know if you came in with a thought,
in your mind feeling like our audience should know this. I just kind of want to open up the floor so you can deliver that message.
Pablo (13:10)
Yeah, I would say as you know learning from my business partner too like this isn’t a fairy tale no one’s gonna come save you so you have to like do the work and if you don’t nothing’s gonna come out of it so ⁓ in the end it’s all about you and yourself taking responsibility for your actions on how much money you can make in this industry
because the opportunities there is just
Like you have right there you make your own look so that’s what it’s all about
Quentin (13:42)
No, man. love it. I appreciate that. Pablo, my, my running definition of luck is my working definition of luck is that it’s when opportunity meets preparation. And so when I say, when I, when I, when I see that and I say, make your own luck and I read that, mean, I stand prepared that way when opportunity come, I can strike. And so that’s, that’s perfectly what you kind of just said is that you got to do the work. Nobody’s going to come and save you.
You got to make sure that you are prepared so that when the opportunity comes, you strike. And so, man, I love it, man. Hey, listen, Pablo, if someone wanted to reach out to you, connect with you, collaborate with you, learn more about what you’re doing, how can they get in contact with you,
Pablo (14:28)
well since I’m doing acquisitions right now and kind of taking a break from the disposition side and not so much promoting the properties, they can just reach out to me by number or email. That’d be the best way.
Quentin (14:45)
Got you. Then did you wanna drop that number or email?
Pablo (14:48)
Yeah, mean sure. Yeah. Phone number 312, aerial code. 312-566-8461 or email [email protected]
Quentin (14:50)
Yeah. Yeah.
I love it, man. Well, listen, sir, thank you so much for coming on the show. Let me say three things to you. Thank you for your time. You you could have been anywhere doing anything, but you decided to spend some time with us. So thank you for your time. Secondly, sir, thank you for your story. Thank you for your narrative.
