One more thing. This is something that’s pissed me off so much, guys. If I can go back and I wish I can just grab myself, truly, some of the richest people I know today are some of the best people. I’m not even kidding. And it makes me so mad. And why they’re dumb? Because they don’t care what other people think and they don’t overthink. I think I’m pretty smart. And part of my smartness has literally backfired on me so much because I sit there and I overthink about an offer.
How do I talk about to the seller about this? And you just overthink everything.
Issa Hanna (01:58)
Welcome back to another episode of the Real Estate Pros Show. I’m your host, Issa Hanna, and today we have Omer Bloch with us. Omer, welcome to the show.
Omer Bloch (02:04)
Thank you so much for having me. I’m excited to to be here and provide a lot of value.
Issa Hanna (02:09)
Super excited to have you. You’re in a space where a lot of people aren’t in. You’re in a new type of business and you’re bringing a lot of opportunity to American businesses. So with that, I’m gonna let you have the floor. Give us an overall overview of what your business does and then a day to day in your life.
Omer Bloch (02:25)
Yeah, for sure. I’m the co-founder and CEO for Remote Latinos. we’ve been running this business for man, over five years now. I have a business partner, his name is Esteban Andrade, and he actually is the one that introduced me to the real estate space because he has an agency that helps investors with marketing. And several years ago, he was actually a client of mine and he came to me and he’s like, Look, man, I have a lot of investors that are needing help, like we’re getting them leads.
We’re getting them appointments and some of them are even starting to close deals. But in order for them to scale, they need a team, right? It’s impossible to do everything by yourself, right? Obviously, you can get one or two deals done a month by yourself if you want a small operation, but if you want to scale to three, four and more deals, it’s just not possible to do it without a team. And that’s where the idea kind of came to us that my previous recruiting company that was helping agencies, he’s like, hey, there’s a really huge opportunity with investors and maybe we can work with them. And we slowly
shifted into working with just agencies to expanding to real estate investors and even real estate agents, but a lot of our clients are in the investor space, whether they’re wholesaling, whether they’re fixing flipping, whatever the case may be. And we help them find talent in Latin America. I actually myself live in Medellin, Colombia. So I’ve been there for about the same time as I started the business. And I get to witness the talent firsthand, right? People there speak English, they understand American culture. There’s a lot of Americans there.
I have friends that have lived in Medellin, Colombia for years. I’m talking about years and years, and they speak no Spanish at all because we have such a huge community of English speakers, whether they’re American, Europeans, or whatever the case may be. So a lot of the people there speak English, right? And believe it or not, those people can also work really hard and they understand the type of pressure an American company will put on them because part of working with an American company is not just being able to speak English.
but it’s being culturally aligned, having the skill, having the experience. And it’s our job to find those people, present them to the investors and have them work together so they can essentially grow the business and help them in many different ways, whether it’s lead management, acquisition, executive assistant, operations, video editing, you name it from the marketing and sales side of things all the way to the back end and, transactions, disposition and whatnot.
Issa Hanna (04:36)
Amazing man. And yeah, with the internet, the borders are blurred a lot, right? People can speak better English now. People can speak different languages just by following certain people on the social media trends. Like you said, the American culture. The American culture is out there for everybody to see on YouTube. a lot of K-guys nowadays, if you’re forty and under, you know American culture just by being on the internet and seeing it. So
The fact that you’re bringing this workforce to American companies that can withstand the type of pressure and also probably save these scaling companies that are new and trying to make that jump a lot of money, as opposed to paying, American cold callers. truly genius idea, Omer. amazing. And I want to get the backstory.
How did it actually start? What made you roll get the ball roll?
Omer Bloch (05:23)
Man, it’s so random. you hear sometimes people’s stories like on Shark Tank, and it’s like this genius idea. my God, I wanted to fix this one thing. And for me, it was a little bit of that. I actually came from a high-ticket sales selling agency, marketing agency services. We were working at one point with chiropractors, the company I was working with. We were six scaling that business, and the founder wanted to do more than just working with chiropractors. He actually wanted to teach people how we took the company from zero
To 300,000 a month in less than two years, which was unheard of in the marketing agency space. it’s still really impressive even today. But back in 2018, 2019, it was like, my God, this is crazy. So we were teaching people how to take their agencies to that number. And actually, it’s how Esteban got introduced to us because he started his agency and he started scaling it. but around 2020, I actually had
The idea of not placing virtual assistants, I wanted to place closers inside of these agencies. I told them, hey, man, look, I’ve been closing chiropractors. I’ve closed a lot of these agencies now for your coaching program. I think that there’s an opportunity here to place closers. I’ll train them and let’s do it. And the founder of the time didn’t, not that he didn’t really see that vision, but he thought it was just too complicated. I was a little bit too new with selling the high-ticket stuff, whatever. So he turned me down. I was like, all right, someone’s gonna come up with this.
And today someone did come up with this and it’s like a $40 million business. So he rejected the idea. And then about a month later, I vividly remember this. A month later, I had two prospects that I wanted to get on board to the coaching program, and they loved everything we showed them. We had the best coaching program in the world. We had five daily calls for different.
things of the business with it’s sales marketing. We had hundreds of hours of course material. we had 300 members. it was the best coaching program in the world. I really believe that. And I lost two deals because other coaching programs provided a VA. And I was like, wait a second, I just lost an opportunity because of VA. Like we do everything better. I was like, I’m gonna go to my network and see if there’s any virtual assistance. And I reached out to my network and I had a guy that helped me find a few people from Ecuador. And he sent them to me.
And one of the guys that was gonna sign up within the with the program, I sent to him, I have a VA, like would you sign up? He’s like, give me the VA, I’ll just sign up. And he ended up being my very first client. This is in November 2020. A shout out to Eric. He became a really close friend of mine now. And that VA still works with him six years later. I did nothing right by the way. I just placed him with him. I didn’t even interview her. I don’t even know what she looked like. And but it planted the seed that I was like, Whoa, there are people that actually need war help with this. And
Keep in mind, back then Fiverr still existed, op work existed, online jobs existed. It wasn’t like there was no place to find them. People just didn’t know how or what to do and how to do XYZ. So it started with just an opportunity to help a lot of agency owners. And about a year later, Esteban joined the coaching program and then he needed some help. And he actually planted the seed because we were doing a little bit of Latin America, but we’re doing a lot more in the Philippines.
And he was like, hey man, like there’s a huge opportunity with Latin American talent, him being Latino Colombian himself. And he sent me a few websites and we started using those websites. We started placing a lot more Latinos. And then one thing turned to another where he’s like, Hey, let’s change the company name. But funny enough, this was not even a business. I just wanted to help agency owners. the company before we’re more Latinos was called F A V A Fava, freaking awesome virtual assistants.
And he’s like, let’s make this actually a real thing and come up with we came up with Remote Latinos and we’ve been really hone in on how to help real estate investors because man, it’s hard enough to market, to sell, to set appointments, to do the transaction, to do this position. real estate investors have so much to do in the beginning as they scale the business. And now on top of that, you have to also hire people and then train them and then manage them. So it’s like, how can we provide more value?
so that’s where the idea came in. And we do work with a lot of different industries, and it’s interesting to see the different pain points that people have because majority of the businesses that come to us, they’re probably doing one to three deals a month and they want to hire their first acquisition manager, their first lead manager. So they might know how to do the job themselves, which is great. But if you don’t hire the right person or you don’t know how to train or you don’t have the right systems, you can only go so far by yourself, right? Rome wasn’t built in one day, but it was also not built with one person.
So it requires like a real team effort and it requires as much help as possible. Last thing I’ll say about this, and the reason this is so valuable is because the biggest companies, corporations, entities in the world use recruiting companies. You’re talking about Facebook, Apple, Met like all of them use recruiting companies. And they have the most money in the world, they have unlimited amount of capital. So if they use them, imagine just like a real estate investor thinking like they can do this themselves. Now, of course, you can get lucky.
anybody can go on online jobs at PH and Op Ork and Fiverr and you can get lucky. But if you want to build your business and a team based on luck, that’s just sounds like an absolute nightmare. So our job is to look for the people, vet them out, make sure they not only speak great English, but they have experience, they have skill, they’re legit, they’re gonna show up in your business and they’re gonna provide you resource. And our goal now is to help them ramp up as fast as possible.
Because one of the feedbacks that we’ve gotten in the past is like, man, it takes them sometimes two, three, four weeks, sometimes even longer to like ramp up. I hate that. I’ve had that experience as well. I’m sure you have as well. When you hire someone, it takes them weeks to ramp up. So our goal now is to cut that ramp up down period to much faster and ultimately have people get results. We actually got a client literally this morning sent us a message that he onboarded someone on last Thursday, so less than a week ago, and they already got their first contract signed. And I’m like, okay, great.
How do we replicate this to every single person? And it requires us being good at finding the people and also having the business owner being legit with their process and systems.
Issa Hanna (10:45)
Definitely. And the fact that five years ago your first client came to you and he’s good friends with you and guaranteed referred you tons of business as a realtor who built his business on nothing but word of mouth. that just shows the integrity and the knowledge that you’re bringing to the game. And then over this five years, you’ve been able to refine that hiring process to where yeah, now the turn around time is looking like
a week, that lag costs a lot of money when you hire that new person you have to train them. Yeah. So the fact that you’re bringing in people already familiar with that type of work, whatever work you’re placing them in, they’re ready to rock and roll. it’s truly priceless for a scaling business. and I know a lot of my business owners that watch this are gonna agree with me. I wanna look into
the future a little bit, ’cause you told me you had some future plans cooking up. So I want you to take the floor, give us some future plans, Omer and Remote Latinos has in the work.
Omer Bloch (12:25)
For sure. So one of the things that we’ve done over the last couple of years as we continue growing, expanding, we’re hiring about sixty people on our direct placement model, which is what most people know us as. We also have a marketplace. So it’s just ninety seven bucks a month. If you want to do the work yourself and want to find the candidates, we have over thirty thousand candidates in our town pool. so we have that. So with our marketplace and with our direct placement, we’re placing close to a hundred people a month. So which is like a thousand people a year, right? over a thousand at this point.
One of the things that we realized is like, hey, how can we provide people more value? It’s actually one of the things I’m doing this week. And I’ve actually contacted some of our top clients. I’ve talked to about 10 so far. I have another 10 to go. I wanted to get some perspective of how to provide them more value. And the thing that consistently appears is we need to get people ramped up faster. We need to provide them a little bit more value and a little bit more knowledge on what we know because we already know how to do this ourselves. And it almost feels
like, why are we not providing this to our clients aside from providing them an A player? So we want to provide playbooks, SOPs, AI Academy, where we’re gonna do an AI training weekly call, AI course videos that with our professional AI developer that’s built all the AI systems inside of our company, how can this person be more leveraged for the company? we’re moving towards a world where instead of hiring 20 people, you can hire one.
That’s really good that can do a lot of different things, right? I started using Grok Bot and Meta Muse and it’s like literally crazy. Like executive assistants are gonna have to level the f up because Muse is literally my assistant now. I don’t know if you’ve used Meta Muse, but it’s literally insane. It talks to me every single day and messages me. as I had an assistant before. I’m like, I don’t need an assistant that’s very low-level entry admin person. They absolutely have to have AI systems.
One of the questions that I got from one of our top clients who had a company, he had a $30 million company, he hired 20 people from us, and he’s the one that planted like a lot of seeds with me. He was like, if I hire someone really good from you and I pay X amount of money, what can they teach me from day one? What can they teach me? What can they do for me? Literally in the first week that I’m like, yeah, this was worth it. And again, a lot of our people are doing that already, but there’s many that are not. And some of that is
Probably because we’re not hiring the right people. Some of that is maybe they don’t have the right opportunity because maybe we don’t provide them with the right resources, right? So we just want to get people that can come into the business and truly make a difference from day one. Because now with AI, it’s possible, right? Like it’s just possible. There’s so much knowledge out there. It’s also a lot. Like you have Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, Grok Bot, So I’m honing this in as well. I’m trying to figure out okay, how do I?
not lose track of what needs to happen and as I’m learning with this. And I know if I’m struggling with it in terms of like organization and knowing where to go, I’m sure a lot of these virtual assistants are going to experience that as well. So really it’s the ramp up time. We want to provide a lot more resources and value to the candidates, to the business owner. So that way they can again ramp up as fast as possible. And one of the things that we’ve noticed is that We want to start also taking care of the payroll.
Believe it or not, some people have no idea how to pay their team members. They don’t know what contracts they need, XYZ. And we’ll just do it for them. We’ll just take care of payments, pay us monthly fee, and then we’ll take care of the payments. So we’re also going to offer that as well. You have so much to do every single day to be consistent, to get one or two deals a month, especially in beginning, and make sure your marketing is on point, make sure your sales are up to point. Like you have so much to do.
on top of that, here’s a team member. by the way, you have to now train them, you have to manage them and you have to pay them and da. So it’s like, how do we make your life so much easier where you just focus on closing deals and slowly understanding when you need to increase your marketing, how to make sure all the transactions go go through and nothing falls into nothing falls because of the amount of people that just falls apart and then you don’t get the deal, now you wasted all this time, is unbelievable. you also have a team member that now is complaining and now they’re not performing. So how do we
Take that part of your business that’s very important, especially when you scale. How do we make that as hands off as possible? Provide you with a ton of value and have you focus on what your zone of genius is. that’s our plans for the future. And the future starts now. twenty seven is already here in my head.
Issa Hanna (16:18)
Amazing man. the marks of truly great entrepreneurs in the world, right? Problem solvers, visionary thinkers, forward thinkers, are products that make things easier, right? Omer, you’re checking every box with this business with your knowledge that you’re bringing in.
somebody contracts your services, they’re gonna be able to level up that much faster because you’re already doing a lot of the problem solving for them beforehand. And then I wanna make another point. The fact that you’re helping so many people in Latin America who might not be able to find work, right? it’s not easy to find a job sometimes, you guys,
you see how hard it is here in the United States. So Omer is not only bringing so much value to American businesses, but he’s actually bringing a lot of jobs in the economy, to Latin America, which is unbelievable. Unbelievable. I truly believe in your company. And man, with all this knowledge, it’d be wrong for me not to ask you, get your advice for our younger viewers
It all depends on business relationships and your network, growing your network. so if you had to give that new guy, that new entrepreneur, one piece of advice on how to start growing that network, what piece of advice would it be?
Omer Bloch (18:11)
First off, thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate it. And I do believe we’re helping Latin America in many ways. It’s funny because I’m also like, damn, am I also making Medellin more expensive? everybody’s getting paid so much more. And it’s like people are like, you’re a Medelline because it’s cheap. I’m like, man, it’s not cheap anymore. It’s not cheap, nearly as cheap as it was three or four years ago. So I don’t know what you’re talking about.
definitely your network is everything. it’s without the network, I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t be talking to you. You wouldn’t be talking to me. It’s like, the people that we talk to every single day. it’s crazy. Like majority of my own network is now entrepreneurs. it’s almost hard for me not to I can’t have a friend that’s not entrepreneurs. I’ll say a few things. One.
People that have your back and truly want you to succeed in life, whether they’re your entrepreneur friends, your non-entrepreneur friends, you want to keep them because I have a lot of friends even today that are not entrepreneurs that want me to win and it feels good to talk to them be real and stay real. I know there’s some gurus out there, they’re like, I don’t go home for Christmas, I don’t talk to my family and friends. I’m like, dude, that sounds toxic. You don’t lose sight of your reality because money is a hundred percent not going to
solve all your problems. Money just solves money problems. So that’s the first thing I’ll say. The second thing is if you are an extroverted person, creating relationships is really easy. So, like for me, I’ve never had problem making. you put me in a room of entrepreneurs, nerds, geeks, video game people, sports people, I’ll find a way to communicate. So for the extroverted, put yourselves out there, it’s very easy. For the introverted, dude, create a you.
With today’s day and age, you don’t need to be the most extroverted person to actually go out yourself and meet people. You can actually do it online. You can message people. There’s a ton of groups you can join, LinkedIn groups, Facebook groups, Instagram groups, chats, and you can just communicate with people, even on Reddit, you have no excuse not to put yourself in rooms with people. So people are like, I’m introverted. I don’t want to go to events. Look, if you go to an event and you’re introverted and you’re that weird guy, nobody wants to connect with you, right? Unless you’re like a genius. So if
You already know that and you don’t want to work on that skill, that’s fine. But you have no excuse not to be online in so many different entrepreneurial groups. There’s literally millions of them. And you can just put yourself in that network. And then the last thing I’ll say is, with investor fuel, for example, the faster you can get into a group like investor fuel and pay to be in the right rooms, the faster you’re gonna learn. Because a lot of the mistakes that myself and Isaiah made is because we try to think and resolve this issue ourselves. And we
business before AI. So obviously now with AI you can resolve a lot of your issues a lot faster. But don’t fully rely on AI because AI is a lot of times gonna tell you an AI answer that’s very logical. But we’re humans and there’s got to be some emotional with our some with our decisions you got to pay to play at the end of the day. And both myself and my business partner we invested
hundreds of thousands of dollars. We’ve invested money, but we didn’t have money to put ourselves in the rooms, whether it’s virtually or in person, to learn from people that have what we want. And that’s the biggest thing is like I want to learn from people that have what I want. If they don’t have what I want, why am I paying for them? It’s like paying for a fat trainer or paying for a broke investor, right? I want to learn from the investors that are doing 10 deals a month. I want to learn from the virtual assistants that are doing that they’re staffing thousands of people a month.
a month, they do it in days. So we gotta always learn from people that have what I want. Don’t lose sight of reality, pay to play, and you have no excuse not to be in networking groups today,
Issa Hanna (21:12)
truly golden knowledge, guys, There’s no reason an introvert should not be able to make connections in today’s world. maybe twenty, thirty years ago it was a little bit different.
Omer Bloch (21:21)
One more thing. This is something that’s pissed me off so much, guys. If I can go back and I wish I can just grab myself, truly, some of the richest people I know today are some of the best people. I’m not even kidding. And it makes me so mad. And why they’re dumb? Because they don’t care what other people think and they don’t overthink. I think I’m pretty smart. And part of my smartness has literally backfired on me so much because I sit there and I overthink about an offer.
How do I talk about to the seller about this? And you just overthink everything. I’m in Miami right now and I meet someone literally brain dead. but they drive a Lamborghini, they live in an incredible penthouse and they probably make 40 to 50K a month, if not more, take home. Cause they don’t overthink. They don’t give a shit what anybody thinks. So don’t overthink. If you’re smart, you need to understand you need to become aware then be like, okay, what’s the difference between me and someone that’s just not smart making money? the speed of making a decision.
And just executing on the decision. So that is a gold nugget that I wish someone told me five years ago when I started.
Issa Hanna (22:12)
Amazing golden nugget. And I’m the same way. I’m a very analytical conservative guy. I’ll think about my investment 10 different ways before I actually make it. But cold feet don’t get you nowhere, right? So those guys that could just, jump right in it, a lot of times it works out because they’re striking while it’s hot, and they’re getting on the idea before somebody like me gets on it.
weeks, if not months, if not years ahead of it. Guys that have built it from the ground up like you, guys that know people, know systems, guys are just a wealth of knowledge. And I always ask that question because you guys always give the best answers to our new guys. So thank you so much. Now I want to give you the floor. People wanted to get a hold of Remote Latinos, and contract your services, where could they reach you guys at?
