Arron Carson (00:00)
Social media. Social media slept on. It’s organic. I’ve never really been part of a team. I don’t have to pay for leads. It’s laws of attraction. So if you’re putting out there the stories, and what I do typically that’s different than most people is let’s say we get somebody pre-qualified. It’s celebratory. So I’m gonna celebrate. Hey, we just got you pre-qualified for 350,000. We just got you pre-qualified for 500,000.

Congratulations. Okay, now we’re gonna celebrate. you’re under contract. You’re an escrow. We’re gonna celebrate that. We’re gonna clap that up.

Q Edmonds (02:08)
Welcome to the Real Estate Pros Podcast. I am your host, Q Edmonds, and I am excited to be here today. I am here with the CEO and Founder of Arron Christopher LLC. this gentleman is helping investors. He’s been a licensed agent for 12 years, and this gentleman is looking to expand in our markets, and I’m so excited for us to learn about his business and learn more from him.

And so I want to introduce you all to Mr. Arron Carson. Mr. Arron, how you doing today, sir?

Arron Carson (02:42)
I’m doing fantastic, brother. I’m blessed to be here.

Q Edmonds (02:45)
Absolutely, my friend. I’m so glad you’re here. And I’m blessed to be here with you, man. And listen, sir, I am the type. I like to dive right in. So I would love for you if you can tell the people what’s your main focus these days. ⁓ and if you don’t mind, give us a little origin story, kind of how you got started and into where you are.

Arron Carson (03:05)
Thank you for having me. ⁓ again. Thank you for bringing me on. ⁓ I’m out here ⁓ in Arizona. It’s nice, bright, sunny day. my goal right now is to I don’t know if you’re aware of a statistic of home ownership is probably the lowest that it’s been in the country ⁓ right now. So right now as a twelve year or twelve plus vet, we’re excited about first time home buyers. That’s the goal right now.

Q Edmonds (03:32)
Yeah.

Arron Carson (03:34)
First time home buyers, mainly ⁓ Gen Z. I believe they are millennials. Anywhere from like twenty-five and up, we’re trying to get them as young under thirty to get them to, you know, become first time home buyers on the real estate side as a license regime.

Q Edmonds (03:50)
Yeah. I love it, man. Give me a little origin story, man. How did you get into the field? Where did the pasture come from? What you do?

Arron Carson (03:58)
imminent domain. That’s how I got started. We ⁓ my family were our roots are based originally from Louisiana out there and ⁓ my great great grandfather left some property to my family, my grandmother, and ⁓ we lost it through you know the ⁓ the slave laws that they had back then, you know, a lot of the freed slaves they still kind of

trick them out of their properties, you know, things like imminent domain, stuff like that. So we lost the property. ⁓ my grandmother and grand my mom were frantically looking for someone in the family, you know, to help save this land and this property. And honestly we didn’t have anyone. They’re reaching out to me. We’re trying to get attorneys to get it done. And long story short, we end up losing the property. Wow. And I think it ended up having like some oil on it or something like that. They have

Yeah, stuff like that out there. So that was my main motivation. Was like, you know what, just seeing the pain, you know, for my family and just something like that pre in a preventative state like this can’t happen again. So I catapultered into my real estate career from that point.

Q Edmonds (06:01)
Yeah. Definitely. Thank you for sharing. You know, of course, you know, we learn from our lessons and our failures.

I often say destiny has no wasted moments, right? Destiny has no wasted moments, meaning we’re learning from our failures, we’re learning from our success, we’re learning on the journey, right? And so I would love to know what have you learned about yourself in this real estate journey.

What has this journey revealed to you about you? Has it revealed discipline, humility? ⁓ has it changed your pet perspective on innovation? Like what has this journey taught you about yourself?

Arron Carson (06:38)
Honestly, that’s a great question. And all the things you name, mainly, most importantly, discipline for sure. The discipline, the sacrifice. And it’s advice that I give to either, you know, other people I mentor or even my clients, the personal space. if you’re not there mentally, depending on what you got going home in your personal life, it affects and trickles onto your profession. So the discipline is there. ⁓ humility is just

You know, again, trial and error. There’s up trial and error, there’s ups and downs in real estate. And you have to be able to pivot. And that’s one thing about me being an investor slash realtor is when the real estate market gets slow for buyers, I have to pivot into my investors just to keep that pipeline going at the end of the day, because me clocking in is just not even fathomable. It’s not realistic for me clocking at that point.

Personally, from a disciplinary state, me clocking in, I’m failing at that point. You know what I’m saying? I’m gonna give myself two weeks, collect, you know, whatever little check I’m gonna get, and then I’m out of there. You know what I’m saying? I gotta do what I gotta do. Perseverance. So that’s what I’ve learned, the discipline and just having those strengths and you know, always keeping that faith in God, you know.

What do you mean?

Q Edmonds (08:00)
Absolutely, my friend. Absolutely, man. ⁓ you know, you mentioned faith in God, you know. That that, you know, that’s my type of language right there for sure. ⁓ you know, I often say we make our plans, but the Lord determines the outcome. So yeah, yeah, absolutely, man. So listen, what’s one operational thing that you put in place the last two years that’s made the biggest difference on how you run deals?

Arron Carson (08:10)
I think.

I’m gonna post that. I’m gonna hold my hand, my client’s hand through the entire transaction and so on and so forth. And if you break down one transaction from the beginning, inspection, going, getting in escrow, getting the approval, getting through underwriting, closing, and getting the keys at title, that’s 10 to 15 steps in one transaction.

So when I’m hitting social media, they’re seeing it, they trust you, they know you’re good, and you’re actually showing results. Yeah. It’s not AI.

Q Edmonds (09:37)
Mm. Mm. Nah. Social media. Yes, sir. ⁓ great nugget, man. ⁓ what’s next for you in the business, sir? Like what’s your next real goal? What are you looking to solve or scale next, man?

Arron Carson (09:44)
here.

Really, again, with that statistic, as low as it is with ⁓ home ownership in the country, it’s putting a dent in that, as you can see with the gentrification. ⁓ you know, it’s there’s a lot of apartments being built, condos being built. And those are built by big, you know, corporations that want people to rent, which is okay, but we want to start building those multifamilies. Yeah, like out in the East Coast and the Midwest, where you guys, you know.

the price is lower and they’re like, ⁓ you know, this is a bad community, it’s poverty stricken, the news and they drive it the prices down, go in there, buy everything up, build everything up to where the people in the community can’t even afford it. So we want to be the ones actually going in there, ⁓ going, going in there, putting a dent in that gentrification method, or we’re the ones actually investors making the you know, the new properties there, but they’re affordable.

They’re affordable for the people there. We’re not driving the people out of their own community where they can’t even afford to stay there.

Q Edmonds (11:33)
Yeah, yeah. Mm-hmm. ⁓ very well said, my friend. Very well said. When you talk about the community, ⁓ I think with the community serving the community comes with building relationships. Yeah. I would love to hear your philosophy on relationships from a business, you know, perspective, you know, clients and you know, partnerships and people you work with, and then who are some of the relationships that you have.

that kind of feeds you, feed you with referrals or even, you know, feed your business that you work close with. Tell me about relationships in your circle, man.

Arron Carson (12:09)
Okay, that’s a good question. So it relationships are like now, it’s kind of like with everything being so ⁓ anti-social, you have social media. ⁓ it’s hands-on, you know, you you can’t be afraid, you don’t want to be fake. you don’t want to have that. I’m just, you know, looking for my next transaction. You get the referrals from hey Arron, I might not be qualified right now, but my auntie’s selling her house. Hey, Arron, I’m not qualified right now, but my brother.

Q Edmonds (12:29)
So you

Arron Carson (12:39)
They want to buy a house, you know, and that’s how the referral process works. ⁓ and for example, if I had a $500 budget for marketing, instead of me going to buy ads and try to buy leads with that, I would invite probably 10 people in my circle out for dinner and take care of the tab. They’re gonna say, Hey, you know what? My realtor, he picked up the tab, you know, is a cool guy, or it don’t matter if we’re at a strip club.

Q Edmonds (13:00)
Yeah.

Arron Carson (13:07)
Or, you know, gentlemen’s club, or you know, we had a bar or something like that. So I have pivoted into more social settings. Like ⁓ I host, you know, a popular restaurant out here called the Brunch House ⁓ every weekend and we do mixers and stuff like that. So it’s just having that social media ⁓ effect, but also that old school hand to hand combat. It makes a big difference because a lot of new people they don’t

It’s real estate, it’s a brick and mortar business. So you have to pick up the phone, you have to go meet for coffee, you gotta go meet for tea, you gotta go meet up and talk to them like this. It can’t just be text messages and you’re not answering your phone. I’d say during COVID, I’ll probably 20 or 30, my 30 to 20 percent of my business ⁓ derive from people not answering the phone. Just not answering the phone, texting too much. It’s real estate. I’m available.

I don’t have a day job. I’m available. I work the weekends. So it’s just implementing those things that other people aren’t doing and that’ll catapult you to the next level. That’s what really works.

Q Edmonds (14:18)
I love it, man. Sir Man, I appreciate this conversation. I kind of want to open up the floor just a little bit. ⁓ if there’s something that you wanted to talk about that I kind of didn’t want to prompt that I didn’t prompt with a question, I kind of want to open the floor. Like maybe if you came in with something on your mind that you felt like you wanted our audience to know, I kind of want to open up the floor. So if you have a message like that, you can land it.

Arron Carson (14:44)
I just ⁓ I wanted to figure out how to provide like these podcasts. Like this is the first time I’ve ever done a podcast like this. So I get invited to them and I get ⁓ offers to offer like a mentorship program, but I don’t want it to be atypical or cheesy. Pay me ten thousand dollars and I’ll give you. I want it to be beneficial to where it’s like, okay, compensating me for my time, but you guys are actually or the people are actually benefiting.

From the tools, the information that they’re receiving. I want to be a little different than the traditional, you know, the fake gurus online and all that stuff. I wanted to be something authentic, you know what I’m saying? And being in this business is more than just about the money.

It’s about the discipline, like you said, your mental clarity. These are the things that I might be able to say, hey, you’re having a bad day. Well, this is how you get through bad day. Go hit the gym real quick. Go on a 30-minute walk.

And that’ll give you the clarity you need to go finish your deal or progress with your day. Those sort of tidbits. So I’m trying to figure out how to package that up to where we can get it to people to where it’s affordable and accessible at the same time.

Q Edmonds (16:35)
Yeah, yeah. Well no, nope. I know you’re gonna figure it out, man. I love the gems and nuggets that you dropped on us today. You added so much value to our audience. ⁓ if someone wanted to reach out to you, connect with you, collaborate with you, learn more about what you’re doing, how can they get in contact with you, sir?
