I would say work on your foundation first.

That’s the biggest thing. do understand that so many things are going on. I mean, time is ahead of us, right? It’s hard to keep up. So my thing is get you a good foundation first. So what does that look like? Your framework. I learned business backwards. Okay. I got into it. I wanted to revenue first. Hey, bring me the money, right? But as you learn going through, it wasn’t just all about the money. It’s about everything it taught you how to do. These corporations aren’t corporations because they just jumped in here.

Q Edmonds (02:06)
Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Real Estate Pros podcast. I am your host, Q Edmonds, and I am excited to be here today. I have another fantastic guest that we’re going to learn from. Y’all know what excites me, the fact that we get to learn from different people, see business through their lens, through their vantage point, because we all can literally be doing the same things, but we’re still going to have certain different approaches because we’re different, different processes, different strategies.

And so I’m excited today because we get to learn from my guest, Coach Nettie. Coach, how you doing today, ma’am?

Antionette Williams (02:45)
Hello, hello, hello. I’m doing awesome. Glad to be here just to be in the space. Thank you for having me. I appreciate it. I’m looking forward to what we’re just talking about today.

Q Edmonds (02:54)
Absolutely.

Well, listen, I’m so glad you’re here. And listen, I am the type, I like to dive right in. So I would love for you to tell the people what’s your main focus these days. If you don’t mind, give us a bit of an origin story, kind of how you got into the space that you’re in. And then tell us what part of the world you’re in as well, because people love to know what people are geographically. So what you’re up to, your origin story, and where you are. Coach Nettie, you have the floor.

Antionette Williams (03:20)
Okay, I’m gonna start with the shortest first. am in Dallas, Texas. Not a native here from St. Louis, Missouri. And then just a little about what we do or what I am doing. What’s a big interest right now is being able to create generational wealth for my family and not only for my family but other households as well. I do believe in always sharing the knowledge amongst my community and just being able to let them know there are things

things

and resources and strategies that we can use that will get us to places or get us in those, you know, we have the vision, right? So with that vision, being able to, need the roadmap, we need the directions, we need the instructions. So being able to, ⁓ I would say, just being able to add to that, right?

and let them know like, it’s out here, let’s go ahead and do it together. Let’s get on the journey together. That’s my main focus right now is being able to do that. And that’s pretty much it.

Q Edmonds (04:23)
Yeah, yeah, I

love it. love it. Listen, thank you. Thank you for kind of walking me through the journey. You know, life, you you gave me a quick synopsis, maybe like two minutes or so, a minute or two. And we know life just doesn’t unfold in just two minutes. Like the whole journey has been unfolding maybe some years, right? And so, Ms. Nettie, I have a saying where I say destiny has no wasted moments, right?

Antionette Williams (04:46)
Yeah, absolutely.

Q Edmonds (04:52)
Destiny has no wasted moments. We are building momentum to the people that we are today. And so I would love to know throughout your journey, what has the moments taught you about yourself? Have they taught you discipline, resilience? Has it changed your lens when it comes to innovation? Like what has the moments taught you about you Coach Nettie?

Antionette Williams (05:59)
I’m going to say all of the discipline, resilience, all of it. One of my ⁓ best friends, she always say keep going, right? Because most of time it’s not about how you fall, it’s definitely about how you get up. And that has been something that has stuck with me through the entire journey. I can look back on some of my life and those things that I probably thought, you you failed right there or you thought maybe was…

the wrong decision, right? ⁓ It actually played a big part in who I am today and why I do the things I do and why I operate out of what I operate. So I definitely been being able to understand myself more and understand me as a person, right? I love challenges. So I never get comfortable. And when I get comfortable, I’m like, okay, what’s the next level? You know, I’m always looking for the next thing, but also being gracious and also being thankful.

for where I am because I’m not where I used to be, right? So as long as we’re evolving, you’re going to be in different spaces and being in different spaces also mean that you may get uncomfortable. You may not feel familiar with where you’re at, but understand that that’s part of growing. And I call it growing pains because when you’re in a place unfamiliar, most of the time you’re not comfortable. And it’s hard to adapt sometimes, right? When you don’t know how, but just being open to learn. ⁓

Q Edmonds (07:19)
Yeah.

Antionette Williams (07:23)
Keep your eyes open about what’s around you. ⁓ Search your environment for the signs and the wonders and everything, but just keep going through the entire time, I would say.

Q Edmonds (07:35)
Yes indeed, thank you. hear some of that sound like some kingdom language keeps slipping out. keep hearing ⁓ that. But listen, you listen, listen, you listen, real, recognize real. Come on, I hear it, I hear it.

Antionette Williams (07:39)
Okay, okay? Because I’m going.

I’m just saying, I’m just saying. And y’all listen,

okay, okay, let’s do it.

Q Edmonds (07:58)
I hear the salt of the earth when I hear it and when I recognize it, that’s so dope. So that, I love it, you know? And that’s one of reasons why I ask that question. Cause I do want people to recognize what’s going on. Like at the center of everyone’s business. If you are a business person, you’re an entrepreneur at the center of your business is you. And sometimes we have to reflect back and see kind of, okay, how did we get to where we are? How did we get to this journey? How did we get to this position?

Antionette Williams (08:01)
Thank you.

Absolutely.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Q Edmonds (08:26)
And so I absolutely love it. I hear what you’re saying and I love it. Let me ask you this. So if a business owner, somebody is just starting out in business, what are some of the strategies that you use or kind of words of wisdom that you would give someone just starting out in business? Like you can give them like a tangible strategy that they can hold on to. What would that be?

Antionette Williams (08:37)
Yes.

⁓ I would say work on your foundation first.

These corporations aren’t corporations because they just jumped in here.

first and it just like I need a couple of dollars. No, what are you really in it for? So create that foundation for you on why you’re why of why you’re doing it. Also what you’re trying to do. You want to make sure you have a structured business as well. So learn the foundations of that, what that looks like, not just as a business, but also legally on paper as well. Make sure you’re in compliance with the state and the federal laws and everything like that because you’re going to you’re going to need that. Okay. ⁓ Most of the time

know they don’t they don’t ⁓ you don’t notice it until you need to notice it okay and I’d rather you get yourself together before you need to get yourself together so don’t let life teach you it if you can get if you can do it you know if you can learn or get up under someone that can teach you do it because you’re going to need it the business compliance is is grand man that’s gonna be one of the biggest things I say yes

Q Edmonds (10:55)
Yeah, absolutely. So what, no, let me, now, before I go here, give me the name of your business and tell me the story behind the name. Cause a lot of times there’s a story behind the name of it all. So I want to state, I want you to state emphatically what the name of the business is and then give me the story behind the name.

Antionette Williams (11:04)
Mm-hmm.

Mm.

So my business name is BME Services, ⁓ LLC. BME Services. So just a little bit transparency, BME Services was not always BME Services. It was just BME LLC, okay? It was a business that it was not for me. It was for someone else. ⁓ listen, I still thank God for that person, right? Regardless of how the situation may went or whatever.

Q Edmonds (11:42)
Amen. Yes. Yeah.

Antionette Williams (11:47)
I cannot take away that they played a major part in this journey, right? So it started off as a management company, music management, producing and things like that. That’s what we were doing. And honestly, I was just in the creative spot of helping this person build. And then a couple of months down after I built the brand, it was like, well, what are you doing for yourself? And I had to myself the same question, like, you know what?

Q Edmonds (11:51)
Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah,

come on. Yeah.

Antionette Williams (12:14)
You’re right, you know, because

I had not put the same effort into my own and everything. I was so focused on this here. But what I end up doing was I literally just changed and add services in there because that’s my industry of providing services ⁓ and what those services look like because we also help with marketing and promoting and everything such as social media and stuff. But we just added that baby on in there and BME literally went from just being this music industry to actually being

what it is and I was like, well, what is BME? I didn’t have an acronym for it. was like, because BME means really nothing to me. I’ll be honest, you get what saying? So I had to make it make sense and we can, you know, was Birth Millionaires Everyday So that’s what BME stands for. And then so it’s these services that help birth these millionaires every day. So one thing I say is we are the source with the resources and stop surviving and start positioning. That’s our motto here at BME.

Q Edmonds (13:15)
Yes, thank you. Thank you for sharing. I know you quickly had to take a little trip down memory lane and maybe some, you know, some old unfavorable thoughts came up, you know, and I can see you processing like, whew, like, but listen, I appreciate you reflectively answering that question because that’s part of the journey, right? You said it yourself. It’s part of the journey and we are more than overcomers. And so again, sometimes we gotta take a little quick glance back.

Antionette Williams (13:35)
You

Absolutely.

Q Edmonds (13:43)
Just a reminder of kind of where we are today. And I

appreciate that because you know, one of the biggest things with business is pivoting, right? Pivoting, overcoming, you know, obstacles. Adversity hits us all. And so again, I really appreciate your reflective answer. So what’s next for you, Coach Nettie? Like what’s next for the business? What are you looking to solve a scale next? What’s next for you, man?

Antionette Williams (13:52)
Mm-hmm.

Absolutely.

to

Absolutely. So as I

Like I said, we did our first real estate ⁓ sale and, you know, helping a buyer and everything. It was a full mentorship with that by actually what that looks like someone using the strategy that we implemented to get it done. I’m doing more, right? Helping more people learn what real estate investing is and how to use it to generate the wealth that they’re trying to get into. So just getting that full circle.

The goal is to

⁓ The goal is to have a centralized place for those who are just wanting to build wealth, whatever that looks like, Amongst these services of credit, taxes, business formation, and real estate, we believe those are the four pillars to building wealth, okay? Whether you learn how to do these as a service or just learn them for yourself, I don’t know who on earth.

Or in the United States that don’t need to know taxes. You get on say I don’t know who in the United States do not need to know credit. You need to know how to optimize credit. You need to know how to leverage off of it. You need that. That’s a part of turning your name into an asset. You also need to know about business formation. Every day you walk out your front door to go make money. You are a business operating. Okay, you cannot make money. Your business doesn’t operate without you. That’s something you need to know and being just full circuit back into learning some type of

investment, whatever it is, if it’s stocks and bonds for you, that’s totally your choice. I don’t have my capacity to learn it. really that investment was one of the ones I was like, you know what, I found my lane because we sleep in assets every night. Okay. Whether you’re the owner or you’re just the rent of their, you still need a place to lay your head. So that lets you know you’re dealing with something that’s very vital to the world. Okay.

Q Edmonds (16:24)
Right.

Antionette Williams (16:43)
But those four pillars in building wealth, that’s what we’re doing. That’s what we have coming up more, this mentorship that we’re offering to the community to come in and learn these and also being able to execute and build wealth off of it.

Q Edmonds (16:57)
Absolutely. I love it. I love it. I love the Bird Mentorship. Keep bringing it up. ⁓ so every guest comes on. Always want to get their philosophy on this one word, right? So when you hear the word relationship, what comes to mind to you?

Antionette Williams (17:09)
Yes.

Yes.

relationship. ⁓ I mean immediately I go with my relationship with God that’s the first thing okay so none of this is possible without a relationship with God. Get you one whatever that looks like for you. You get what saying? I’m not here to tell you where to go with direction but get you a relationship with something greater. There’s no I mean we cannot do this by ourselves. ⁓ So immediately that

Q Edmonds (17:16)
relationship.

more.

Antionette Williams (17:42)
and yeah I’m gonna stand on it like that.

Q Edmonds (17:45)
Yeah.

I love it. I love it. Well, it’s just in coaching, Eddie, is there any topic that I have not brought up that you would like to talk about? Is there any other words of inspiration, education or motivation? Like, I don’t know, like maybe you came in with a thought on your on your brain, your head that you was like, I want to make sure the viewers know this about me. I want to make sure the viewers know this in general. Like, I just want to create space.

for you to land that message if you came in with something on your heart to deliver.

Antionette Williams (18:17)
I can’t say honestly if there is I do do pray that I hear what I need to hear for the listeners to get what they need out of it.

only thing like I could say is stay grounded. know, life happens and you can find yourself in a rough patch. That doesn’t mean that’s the end of your story. Keep getting back up. I’m telling you, you deciding that it’s not over for you is going to what keep you your momentum, right? And then understand that those painful, those traumas, those trials, those tribulations, they’re a part of the journey as well. So you got to be willing to take

Q Edmonds (18:42)
Yeah.

Antionette Williams (19:02)
one with one so take a win with a loss take a loss with a win the same thing but just keep going and understand that like it’s not over okay

Q Edmonds (19:12)
I love it, man. Well, listen, let me say three things to you sincerely. One, thank you for your time. I think time is our most precious commodity. So thank you for taking time out and spending time with us. You couldn’t be doing anything else in the world, but you was here with us. So thank you for your time. Secondly, thank you for your story. Thank you for what I call the gift of your authenticity, the gift of your integrity, the gift of your vulnerability. I believe our stories have a way of planting seeds.

Antionette Williams (19:35)
Mm-hmm.

Q Edmonds (19:42)
And we may never see the growth, but the seed is still planted and that seed can take root at any given time in a person’s life. So thank you for coming, planting some real seeds. And lastly, thank you for your mindset. Thank you for the way you think and bringing that mindset to this platform. I greatly appreciate you coming on today, Coach Nettie
