My goal, Q, is for every person that listens to this to think about how you can earn more money, work less, and have more fun. You know, we’re really here for a short period of time, and I think we should be having as much funmaking as much money as possible, but doing it with leverage so we can work less, right? And everyone who’s listening, think, ⁓ wants to be a business owner. We’re all entrepreneurs. And the thing that really saddens me is when I see people get into entrepreneurship, especially in the real estate space, because I think real estate is the best business in the world, but then they end up working more and earning less,
Quentin (02:05)
Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Real Estate Pros podcast. I’m your host, Q Edmonds. You know what I’m gonna say? I’m excited to be here today. I have another fantastic guest. And listen, if your mind set… I’ve never heard this before and I’m laughing. I’m thinking about my intro. If you are the type of person where laziness is like one of your best assets, tell me, this is where you need to be because this gentleman is about to make it all clear.Danny B | All-Star VA’s (02:17)
YouQuentin (02:34)
why doing less can actually equal to doing more, right? And so, and especially if you somebody that feels like, got so much going on, I think I need an assistant. This is definitely the person you want to talk to too. So I’m so excited to have this gentleman here. I’m excited to learn about him, learn about his business. And so I was just want to introduce you all to Mr. Danny. And I should have took a shot of his last name before we got on, but I’m going to say Batsalkin, Batsalkin. How did I do, man?Danny B | All-Star VA’s (03:02)
Yeah that works, it’s Batsalkin but you can just say Danny B is fine too.Quentin (03:04)
Danny B my man,Danny B. Sir, how you doing today,
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (03:09)
Awesome, and you go by cube, I heard from the intro, so.Quentin (03:11)
Yeah, yeah, he was fine. Quentin or Key was fine. So yep. So Danny B and Key, we here, y’all. We are here. ⁓
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (03:16)
That’s right, that’s right. Well Q, thank youso much. I’m so excited to be on. I love that intro, that was great man. Yeah, you’re lazy but you’re ambitious, this is the right place.
Quentin (03:21)
I’m feeling it.Man, mama, I’m sending you this podcast so you can rethink my childhood when you was calling me lazy. But anyway, that’s a hold up. Maybe that’s for my therapist, Danny. Let me get off of that. Hey, listen, Listen, I want to dive in. I want you to tell the people what your main focus is. Please, man, if you don’t mind, give us an origin story, kind of how you got to where you are now. And man, tell us where you are in the world, because people seem to love to know where you are geographically. So main, know what you’re doing.
A little origin story and where you are. So, Dan, you got the floor,
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (03:58)
You got it, Well, again, thank you so much. So excited to be on the podcast and talk to your listeners and give them some value here. And so I really, really appreciate it. So I am in Big D, Dallas, Texas, best state in the country. No, we won’t go there. ⁓ But yeah, I’m in Dallas, Texas. And then, you know, goal, Q, is for every person that listens to this to think about how you can earn more money, work less, and have more fun. You know, we’re really here for a short period of time, and I think we should be having as much fun
making as much money as possible, but doing it with leverage so we can work less, right? And everyone who’s listening, think, ⁓ wants to be a business owner. We’re all entrepreneurs. And the thing that really saddens me is when I see people get into entrepreneurship, especially in the real estate space, because I think real estate is the best business in the world, but then they end up working more and earning less,
right? And that happens to so many people. And so that is my mission. That is my goal, is to help everyone make more money, but work less and have…
way more fun. And the way I got into that, Q, I was telling you on the pre-show there is that my parents always called me lazy. They always said, you’re lazy, you don’t want to wake up early,
you don’t want to work hard, and you’re never going to make anything of yourself if you don’t do that. And I called bullshit on that. I said, there’s got to be a way. And so I’ve always looked for ways to be more efficient, to do things in a much more efficient way, in a leveraged way, but get high results. And so that was always my goal.
in everything that I did. And so, ⁓ you know, it’s led me to now having a virtual assistant staffing company. But as I mentioned, you know, I really feel that what we do is install systems, create leverage for you, and not just staff a virtual assistant. That part’s easy. Staffing a virtual assistant, and we specialize in staffing from the Philippines. We’re going to also be staffing from Latin America soon. But that’s only about 10 % of the thing, you know? The secret sauce in what we do is the coaching, the training, and the implementation of
standard operating procedures and systems into your business so that you as the real estate professional entrepreneur stop being the bottleneck for everything, right? Because the mistake that ⁓ most entrepreneurs make when they hire is they create this top-down management, right? And a lot of our clients will even ask me, well, Danny, when I hire a VA, what should they do? How do I know what to have them do? And I’m like, because we will give you a system and they will come to you.
and tell you what they should be doing, not the other way around. If everything’s always up to you in your business, you’ll always be the bottleneck and you’ll never grow past you being the bottleneck of everything, right? So that’s kind of the short story of my mission and my passion and my goal. And I work with all of our entrepreneurs one-on-one to make sure that they have that system in place so that they can buy back their time. The idea is you wanna…
get more time back, not be spending more time on hiring, training, and all of those kinds of things. And so, the way that I got into this, the short story on that is ⁓ I went to law school because as I told you originally also, my parents, so I come from an immigrant family. We came to the United States when I was three. And ⁓ to my parents, there were only three classes of people, doctor, lawyer. Everyone else was categorized in the piece of shit category, right?
And so there were three categories of people and they said, you you have to either go to be a doctor or a lawyer. And I said, well, you know, law school sounds kind of fun. So I did that and I got an MBA. Before that, I went to University of Arizona and played football. So if anyone is listening, bear down if I got any wildcats on here. And so I went to law school, got an MBA at Pepperdine, and then I went to work as an attorney.
Quentin (08:19)
There we go.Danny B | All-Star VA’s (08:26)
And I was a real estate attorney and in my second year of practicing law and it was an entrepreneurial firm. So, you know, it was fun and it was a big salary at the time. This is 20 something years ago. So 135,000 at the time was a good salary and the paychecks came every two weeks, right? But I was trading time for money. And so I was thinking about how can I get out of that? I don’t want to trade time for money. I want leverage. And one day my, partner I was working for asked me to work on a residential real estate deal.and the realtors are going to love this because I said, I don’t know anything about residential real estate. And he said, don’t worry, neither do the realtors. And he said, he said, listen, I could teach a five year old to do a residential real estate deal. Right. He said, it’s just a check the box contract. And so, ⁓ so he said, don’t worry, you’ll learn fast. So I did, I did the whole deal. And at the end of the deal, the real estate agent was a newer agent and ⁓ we got the closing package in our office. And when we got the closing package, both of the checks were there. My check,
her check. My check was about 5,500 bucks for the law firm because we build hourly and it wasn’t that much time. The agent got two and a half percent of $17 million. That was the purchase price. You guys can do the math. And so I ran into my partner’s office and I said, Tom, this is bullshit. What’s going on here? Why is her check 300 and something thousand and mine is 5,500? He said, well, that’s how real estate works. They get a percentage of the deal. And I said, okay, I want that check. How do I get that check?
And he said, well, you got to be a real estate broker. said, no problem. So I left, got signed up for the real estate brokers exam that day and left and got my real estate brokers license,
started a brokerage, a team. And then I built out a couple of brokerages. ended up selling those. But from that, you know, I started hiring some virtual assistants and loved the efficiency, loved the model. Long story short, started a virtual assistant staffing company to help entrepreneurs do exactly the same thing. So that’s the that’s the origin story. And that’s what that’s what got me here.
Quentin (10:58)
Man, thank you, man. Thank you, Danny B for taking me through the story. Thank you for showing us how you are, where you are now. I mean, you said so many things that just kind of hit me at my core. You know, I think all of my 2024, I learned, I read a book called, Essentialism. Not sure if you ever heard the book. You heard the book, right? And so it tells you what the, it teaches you how to say, to know what you’re going to say, hell no to and hell yes to. And it’s all about being essential, trimming off the fat.So in my 2024, I really focused on slowing down because I was doing a lot, but I was not efficient. And so I had to retrain myself. And so I was able to in 2025, put system in place. Now here we are in 2026, I’m way more efficient than I ever been. And I do less than what I’ve ever done in my life. And so you hit on so many good points, man. And I love your resume, man. love how you walk the store, immigrant parents.
I love the three categories. It’s hilarious to be ⁓ law school, NBA, football. I love your journey. And I have a say in Danny B where I say, and I tell people destiny has no wasted moments. I mean, no matter what you go through life, destiny has a way of making these moments and these moments make you who you are now. Cause we are a compound of the moments in our life. And so, man, when I listen to you and just listen to
how you arrived to where you are to me, or personification of destiny has no wasted moments. So I would love to know throughout this journey to where you are now building, mean, you took me back to your childhood when your parents was like, you’re lazy. So you have been tracking your journey. What has destiny taught you about yourself? Has it taught you discipline, resilience? Has it taught you to look at things differently? Because you know, people weaponize laziness all the time.
You’re like, no, I’m championing this. I’m gonna show you how to make a career out of this. So what has destiny taught you about you, brother?
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (12:53)
Yeah, that’s a great question Q. And you know, it’s funny, I always laugh like at all the online, I don’t laugh. I mean, it’s fine for some people if it works for you, great. But all the online gurus, you know, like wake up at 4am and you know, do your four hour morning routine and you know, grind it out and work 20 hour days. I mean, I just, I knew that was never for me. I actually tried it a couple of times because people said this is what you have to do. And you know, it burns me out in a day or two. And so that, you know, that never really, that never really worked. And so I feel like you have to embrace it.⁓ you know, what does destiny tell me that that is a, that’s a fantastic question. think first and foremost, ⁓ and I bring this to my business every day, ⁓ understand and, really appreciate the things that you’re good at and that you’re great at. And what is your superpower? You know, I think everyone on, on the planet, everyone listening to this and watching this has a superpower. You just have to figure out what it is and lean into that. You know, I think so many of us try to fit.
a mold or try to fit what someone else wants us to be or what the industry or what a guru or what some guy on stage said you should do. And instead just figure out what you’re amazing at and then leverage out, build a team around everything else, find people that are really great at those other things. I mean, I’ll give you an example. I’m the big picture vision guy. Implementation, execution, I am awful at. I really am, right?
And so there’s a book called Rocket Fuel that I read a long time ago. I don’t know if you’ve read that one, but so Rocket Fuel changed my life because what Rocket Fuel talks about is that there are two types of people in business. There’s the visionary and there’s the integrator. Okay. And if you look at all the biggest companies, ⁓ Apple, Microsoft, know, any company, you will see that that, that dynamic duo always existed. And so to sum up Rocket Fuel, you don’t have to read it. The summation is
Quentin (14:25)
Evan.Danny B | All-Star VA’s (14:49)
Think about in business, are you the visionary or are you the integrator? Very few people are both. And so I knew from an early time that I am not the integrator. So I’ve always been searching for and always found that integrator that’s gonna do all that shit that I can’t standThe daily, day-to-day operations, the analysis of the spreadsheet, the financial stuff, that’s not me. But get me on a stage to go sell some stuff, get me talking to people, get me on a, when I sold real estate,
get me on the listing appointment, get me to talk to the buyers, we’re good. Get me in a negotiation. So long story short, think what the biggest thing Destiny’s taught me is really appreciate, understand what you’re great at, ⁓ and then build a team, build a system, build leverage around everything else. Obviously, Q, you talked about resilience, you talked about ⁓ overcoming obstacles. I think for sure everyone, if you haven’t had a huge obstacle in your life yet,
It’s coming, right? Everyone goes through it. And there’s another great book called The Obstacle is the Way. I love that one because ⁓ instead of resisting and fighting those obstacles, just think about what this is teaching you and how the obstacle you’re going through is actually the path forward to get to what you want. I think sports, mentioned football. mean, sports I think is huge. And all my kids play sports for that reason because it teaches you that. You’re gonna be humbled.
You know, I went, I remember I was all state in high school and then I showed up at U of A and I’m like, all right, I’m here. And they’re like, we’re all, we’re all all state. You know what I mean? Like everyone here is all state. You got to start from the bottom in business. You know, I was a lawyer. I was top of my class. And then I traded that into go be a real estate agent. And now everyone’s making fun of me. you’re really, you went from being a lawyer to a real estate agent. I remember my parents actually Q were funny. They’re like, but we could still call you a lawyer, right? You’re still a lawyer, right?
And I’m like, no, I don’t practice law anymore. They’re like, yeah, but we can still tell our friends that you’re a lawyer. You know, cause again, like Dr. Lawyer piece of shit. So anyway, think resilience, determination, those are huge, huge factors in any endeavor that you’re gonna do and that you’re gonna go through. You will definitely be humbled. You gotta get through that.
Quentin (17:44)
man, I’m gonna tell you, man, you drive so many nuggas. I love your parents. I don’t know your parents, but I love them. They sound like they’re they’re phenomenal, man. They sound like they was tough, but they sound like they are phenomenal. And Danny, you hit the core of so many things I try to say on this podcast. Cause when I tell people that Destiny has no mason moments, I want to plant a seed in their mind is that you have tools that maybe you’re not tabbing into just yet. Maybe you are, maybe you recognize what your superpower is.Danny B | All-Star VA’s (17:48)
HaYeah.
Mm-hmm.
Quentin (18:14)
but all of us have tools and we are proficient with different tools. Some of us are good with hammers, we’re good with screwdrivers, but guess what? Some people are good with spices. Some people is good with a spatula. Like you have a set of tools that you can use to power your dream. And within real estate, all of us got our different tools. We’re in real estate, but some of us, like you said, we’re good at the implementation, but some of us is just good at the vision. Some of us is good at the communication. Some of us is good at the systems. And it’s all about knowing your superpower and harnessing that to power your dream. You know? And so you hit on so many good things, man. And so with that being said, All-Star VA, what is your next real goal? What are you looking to solve at scale next,
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (18:59)
Yes, sir. So Q, so All-Star VAs, ⁓ you know, I think are initially my focus always and still is, of course, is on the business side to help entrepreneurs again, work, you know, work less, earn more money, have more fun. But what I’m noticing recently, and this is this is something I’m becoming much more passionate about, is, you know, entrepreneurs, ⁓ for the most part, ⁓ and maybe again, it’s that hustle culture feel like, you know, they always need to be working, they always need to be hustling, there’s no time off.that takes a toll for most entrepreneurs and real estate agents, real estate professionals on their personal life and on their family life. And ultimately, Q, when you think about it, we are entrepreneurs, we became entrepreneurs because we wanted freedom, right? So my parents, you know, back to them came to this country because they wanted freedom. They grew up in communist Russia where you had to wait in a two-hour line to get chicken, to get toilet paper, right? And so they came to this country for freedom. And that’s why I believe
most entrepreneurs become entrepreneurs. want time freedom, we want financial freedom, we want location freedom. You I want to be able to go fly to Hawaii, work from there and all that kind of stuff and still be making money, right? And the unfortunate part for me is that most entrepreneurs fall into this trap that they become the bottleneck in their business. They actually end up working way more than they would if they went and got a real job. In fact, I think most entrepreneurs would probably be better off, most realtors, most real estate professionals would
probably be better off going and finding a great company and being an entrepreneur within that company than doing their own thing for most people. ⁓ However, we’re here for freedom, right? And so my mission, my passion is to help entrepreneurs get that freedom. But what I’m most excited about is helping entrepreneurs on the personal side. And so believe it or not, we are staffing a lot of virtual assistants to help with personal things, personal finance, setting up date nights for you and your wife.
or the other way around. Making sure you don’t forget your anniversary or your kids’ birthdays, sending gifts to everyone, all the stuff that, minutiae that you forget because you’re an entrepreneur and you’re not thinking about, you can have a virtual assistant do for you at such a cost effective rate that your whole life can be managed by an awesome VA. Set up restaurants, set up travel reservations, make sure your cleaners came to your house, make sure your electric bill is paid. Listen, as an entrepreneur, like I’ve gotten my…
Quentin (20:55)
Yeah.Danny B | All-Star VA’s (21:22)
Electricity turned off because I forgot to pay it. Like I said, I’m terrible at all that stuff. But if you have a great VA managing all of that, then it makes your life so much better.Quentin (21:31)
Absolutely. And man, be, allow me to kind of kill the stigma. Cause I know some people probably like, you gotta hire somebody to plan for a date night. You got a high body to do. Listen, yes. Because one of my mentors told me you plan for what you care about. Like you plan for what you care about. And so my calendar is the things that I care about is on my calendar. And a VA is a tool to help you plan for what you care about. So please don’t sit here and miss an opportunity for you to be more efficient within your family, within your life. Like, yes, if you need somebody to help you plan, that’s not a slight on you. That’s wisdom. Like, that’s you humbling yourself, right? Like, meekness is not weakness. Humble yourself and say, you know what? Yeah, I could actually hire somebody to help me more efficient. And it’s no slight on you. So I just, I want to put that out there, because I can just see some people like,
Like what? Yes. Trust me. It will save your life. So I love what you’re saying. I love what you’re talking about. Listen, don’t have a, we don’t have a whole lot of time, but I feel like I want to ask you this question, man. Cause I think this would be good because you are hiring people to help people. So I think the word relationship, I want to talk about that just a little bit. What is your perspective when it comes to relationship, relationship building within business, even relationship within this VA world? Like talk to me a little bit.
about relationships. Is it important to you and how have you used it to your benefit?
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (23:04)
Yeah, 100%. I mean, for those people that are familiar with like the disc personality style, you could probably tell I’m a very high I, very high D, right? So I think relationships are everything. And I think when you’re hiring people, one of the biggest mistakes I see people making, especially when they hire VAs because people are on the other side of the world, is that they just look at them as transactional tools in their business, right? So they just think, okay, this VA is in charge of my marketing and all we’re going to talk about is marketing because they’re on the other side of the world.Well, I think that’s a big mistake. think when people in your organization, first of all, when they like you, you know, when you have a relationship, they’re going to work harder for you. They’re going to do more. They’re going to go the extra mile. They’re going to care when they understand the vision. Right. So what I tell all my entrepreneurs is the first thing you should tell your VA, I don’t care what position you hire them for. I don’t care if it’s data entry. Tell them the vision of your company. Where are you going? What are your goals? Like you started the podcast with? What are your unique
traits, right? And why should they be excited about doing data entry, right? And go from there, you know what I mean? And so I think relationships and business are absolutely everything. In fact, I have ⁓ a senior in high school and he’s going to college next year. And I was telling him, I’m like, just understand you’re going there for the relationships, right? The knowledge, you can now go on Chad GPT or Claude and get everything you’re going to get in those four years, but you’re going there for the relationship. So
Q, you hit it, man. mean, relationships are absolutely everything. Just as a super quick example, I know you still run out time, but one of the things I recommend is for your executive assistant especially, have a Zoom room open all day and just have your assistant there all day, whether they’re here in the US or they’re remotely, right? Because that develops that relationship with you guys all day. You could see her or him, they could see you, and that way you guys are connected. So just a simple tip, but relationships are everything.
Quentin (25:01)
Man, again, you are dropping gems, man. You’re saying so much, so much good stuff, man. ⁓ You know, there’s a study that when somebody leaves a job, when they decide to quit, most of the time they’re not quitting the job itself. They’re quitting the management or they’re quitting like the boss. That’s what they’re quitting. That’s what really makes them want to leave. And so I love how you talking about your VAs and not making it feel transactional. And I love how you talk about this Ximera, man. I never thought about that. That’s actually brilliant.Cause I tell people, know, we know a big part of relationship building is communication. And I tell people, well, not I tell, I mean, I say this, but this is not my theory. is scientific fact. you look at it, communication has a 55 38 7 rule, 55 38 7, 55 % of communication is body language, 38 % is tone. 7 % is actually the words that we say. And so even though you and that VA is not in the same room, but that zoom.
allowed so much communication because even when you’re not talking, it’s body language that’s going on. They’re watching how you get, you know, get frustrated or calm yourself down. They’re listening to your tone. They can see all these different things. So I think the Zoom Room is brilliant, man. I think you are on to so many different things and I thank you, man, for coming through. You have dropped some major gems. Listen, Danny, if someone wanted to get in contact with you, collaborate with you, connect with you, how can they go about that,
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (26:24)
Yes, Q. Thank you so much, first of all, for having me on the show. It’s been a true pleasure and honor meeting you and being on the show. If I can make one more simple comment about that, the communication, because I think it’s so important. used to, when I trained realtors as a coach, I used to mention that rule all the time. So I’m so glad you brought that up. If you think about it, we went from in-person, in-office, right? When I was an attorney, if I had a question for my partner, I would walk down the hall, hey, Tom, you got a minute? And we’d chat about it, right? We went from that to now everything is typed and everything is on Slack.Quentin (26:33)
Absolutely.Danny B | All-Star VA’s (26:54)
Okay. And there’s so much miscommunication that goes on when you’re typing. And so whenever I have anything, I, and the people on my team make fun of me. So does my wife. I rarely type into all this stuff. I’ll just pick up the phone or I’ll get into a zoom. be like, I want to see you. I want to see what you’re saying. I want to see what you’re thinking. Right. And what you’re doing. And so I think if I can give one like communication piece of advice to real estate professionals specifically is get off your text, get off your, your, your Slack.and call the person or go see them, have an in-person meeting. It goes so much further and you will get so much further and you’ll resolve so many more issues than if you’re just typing and slacking. So just wanted to throw that out there as well as a piece of recommendation. But yeah, I’d love to connect with everyone watching this and listening to this. Super easy for me if you just go to allstarvas.com, allstar like football, allstar, baseball, allstar, and then vas.com. ⁓
and you can actually book a demo call right there. There’s a link. We’ll chat with you about your business. No obligation. It’s not a hard sell. Even if you just need standard operating procedures and ⁓ KPIs and schedules for any position on your team, hit us up on there. We’re happy to provide you with those, consult with you, see where the gaps are, and then see how we can help you out. Again, even if it’s just with that, we’ve developed our own AI around systems and SOPs. So any position you need, we’ll create it.
We’ll give it to you and help you implement it, even if you don’t hire anyone from us. So that’s the contact info there.
Quentin (28:27)
man, so you let me know, you’re so much more than just VAs, man. You let me know, you got the whole system. We could be a one stop shop, man. I hear you, brother. ⁓ man. Danny, sir, so allow me to say three things to you, man. First, thank you for your time. You talked about it. Time is our most precious commodity. We do things to get our time back. So you could have been anywhere in the world, but you spent time with us, man. So one, thank you for your time. Two, thank you for your story, man. What I call like the gift of your vulnerability, the gift of your transparency. I put a premium on stories, man. I think stories have a way of planting a seed in people and you never know when it’s going to grow, when it’s going to sprout up, but the seed has been planted. And so I believe you planted so many seeds today. So thank you for your story. Lastly, man, thank you for your perspective, the way you think, your mindset and bringing that mindset to this platform. I greatly appreciate you, sir. Thank you for coming through, Absolutely.
Danny B | All-Star VA’s (29:22)
Thanks Q, appreciate it man.Quentin (29:25)
