From Real Estate Developer to Presidential Candidate: Barak Zilberberg’s 2028 Vision

With Barak Zilberberg

Key takeaways

  • Zilberberg says he avoids over-leveraging and likes to keep a 50% stake in his deals so he doesn't fall apart if interest rates rise.
  • He started his career as a blue-collar plumber and says understanding the physical 'anatomy' of a structure (plumbing, trades) combined with knowing financing is what made him successful in real estate.
  • His investing background spans building, developing, flipping, and holding long-term rentals, accumulated over roughly 30 years.
  • He has run for office in Nevada before (gubernatorial and presidential campaigns) and says policymakers have since adopted some of his proposed policies, including a water desalination process and affordable housing initiatives.
  • His political platform includes opening up federal land in Nevada (he cites 80% of land there as federally owned) for mining and manufacturing, tapping gold, silver, oil, and lithium resources, and bringing manufacturing back to the US.
  • He proposes an education overhaul starting around age 7-8 with vocational and technical curriculum (cybersecurity, app development, trades), and having kids start working around age 12 to build financial literacy and credit before age 18.
  • He wrote a book called 'Resilience' about building wealth starting from nothing with just a credit card, and is turning it into a movie.
  • He advocates for reducing mortgage interest rates to 3-4%, addressing the $40+ trillion national deficit, and improving national infrastructure including high-speed rail and wider highways.

Barak Zilberberg (00:00)

Yeah, I failed. I’m not saying I didn’t. Everybody fails, but if you don’t try, then you won’t know if you failed or succeed. Now people think, I failed. no, you didn’t fail because you learned.

if you learned, then that means you haven’t failed. That means it’s a stepping stone and made you wiser and more vigilant. And then, on your going, you become smarter, more wiser, more vigilant, and more adaptive to situations and things. So as they say, if you get hit, just get right back up. Don’t stay down and keep going. And that’s what I’ve done all this time.

Issa Hanna (00:36)

Love that.

Barak Zilberberg (00:37)

I got hit, but as they say, you stand back up and you move forward.

Issa Hanna (01:15)

Welcome back to another episode of the Real Estate Pros Show. And today we have Barak Zilberberg here to share his knowledge with us. Barak, welcome to the show.

Barak Zilberberg (01:22)

Thank you so very much for having me. It’s a pleasure, honor, and I’m looking forward for our discussion, educating all you out there is real estate 101.

Issa Hanna (01:32)

I love it, man. You’re bringing 30 years of knowledge into the game. And when we were talking, I said you’ve done it all, right? You’ve built, you’ve developed, you’ve flipped, you got long-term holes. I’m sure you got short-term rentals. We didn’t even get into that. So you are a wealth of knowledge in every space. And also, you’re you you’ve been involved in politics. So we’re gonna get into all that. But before we start, give my viewers a day-to-day in your world.

Barak Zilberberg (01:55)

Day to day basically I wake up early in the morning, I work out, I’m in physique shape and physically, mentally, and always spiritually, I put feeling in the morning too. I’m a Jew. so I start my day off there. It starts very well, and then once I transition from there into my day-to-day ventures in real estate, I manage all my holdings.

hands on, with the people around me, of course, have great people. and we just tackle the problems. We’re problem solvers. We don’t tackle, we don’t pile up the problems further. So and then basically we get our tasks and everything out of the way accomplish and we just move on to the next next next next. Now I’m in the trades as well. I start off as a blue collar plumber.

so I know the whole guts and anatomy of the structure of real estate. So knowing inside, because I’m MD of a structure, and knowing the physics outside in all ways, that’s what’s made me successful in the subject. and I like others to be successful in that way. So my true belief is that you have to know the anatomy of a structure.

the potentials of a structure of what it can bring, in the future, and just work through all the problems and solve them. And there’s your wealth right there. and also financing is very important to know financing, especially now the rates are going up. so I’m a wholehearted believer is that you have to be in position of not over leveraging.

make sure you have stake in the game. I like a 50% stake in the game. So this way, I don’t fall apart. if the interest rates go up, they go up, But I I’d like to see our country reduce the rates to like a three or four percentile, a lot of people are hurting. and not only they’re hurting in the rates.

But they’re herding in groceries and livelihoods. American people are struggling the Gas is a huge factor as well, because the gas is linked to everything. and that goes for the truckers, delivering the goods and the food and the services that we need. So it’s all embedded in our products that we go ahead and buy. And then on top of that, we have the tariffs as well.

So, everybody, I understand your struggles, and I hear it all day and night. And that’s why I’m running for president to bring those realities that our struggles are, and actually bring costs to legitimate levels where it’s affordable. that’s basically where I’m at with this whole thing. And I’ve studied real estate and I know real estate and I’ve been through all the cycles.

from 2008, the pandemic, and now, I feel as though we’re in COVID levels, although we’re not cooped up at home now. but it’s just the same type of token anatomy as we were in the COVID days. And hope we could really get out of this turmoil. And I believe and I have faith.

Issa Hanna (04:51)

I really definitely and I want to piggyback off of a few things you said, right? All successful guys at the top, you gotta know how to delegate your time, right? So when Barak was like, listen, I wake up. First of all, you can’t help anybody, you can’t run a successful business unless you’re physically and spiritually right. So like he said, he’s Jewish, he wakes up, he wraps the I’m sorry, what was it called again? The feelings.

Barak Zilberberg (05:13)

So basically

Yeah, they’re actual part tripets, that are from

Issa Hanna (05:18)

Parchment.

Barak Zilberberg (05:18)

Torah.

And spiritually I pray to God and I rise, I say, thank you for giving me another chance, another life in the morning. and I live a very clean life. I eat well. I go to Whole Foods actually, and buy my products there. I eat as clean as I can, I do my daily routines and physically, mentally, physically, and that helps me a lot in my day-to-day, and that takes me throughout the whole day. And I could even go out.

And work 17, 18 hours like this straight. It’s no problem. I just need a little sleep. That’s all.

Issa Hanna (05:54)

And you know what? that’s the point I was making. You’ve got to be spiritually, physically right, in the real estate business, in politics, right? You’re in it to help people, you’re tackling problems. Your whole life is putting out fires before they start or putting out fires while they’re going on, right? So you get to be super good at, like you said, problem solving. such a natural transition to go into politics. And another thing that you touched on.

Everything affecting our economy, I love that you’re planning to address it because these are the key factors that are affecting our economy. somebody like you, like I said, 30 years in the game, have seen it all. you’ve been able to grow to such a crazy level in real estate. You can take that knowledge and bring that problem solving into the politics. you’re not, not a career politician. You’re gonna say what you want, you’re gonna believe in what you want.

definitely somebody to consider hearing for my viewers at home because these are the guys that we want, the people that care.

Barak Zilberberg (06:47)

That’s exactly right. And I just want to point something out. I’m a plumber by trade. So when there’s a leak, it’s repaired, it’s fixed, or it’s not. It’s just very simple. It’s not like, maybe it’s fixed. it’s either you got the leak solved or you don’t, And then if you have the leak solved, you got to make sure that it’s solved because if it isn’t.

then it could rupture whatever you’ve done and you could flood the house yourself, as a plumber. So it’s about common sense. we need more common sense in our politics and in the government system, and not in a polished type of way anymore. We gotta say it how it is, we gotta direct the narratives as how it is, and solve them the way they are, and make sure they’re repaired and fixed, not.

Just maybe it is repaired or fixed, is actually repaired and fixed. the other

Issa Hanna (07:38)

One hundred percent.

Barak Zilberberg (07:39)

thing is actually working for the people, not for yourself. If you’re in office and you’re thinking, hey, I’m in this for myself, you’re in the wrong venture and the wrong position. it really is for the people. And when I’m in office, I will cater to everybody. I’m talking to you of millions and millions of people.

And hopefully billions across the world. and that’s my initiative is to cater to all of you. is bringing you the tools so that you can succeed. And starting off even as an adolescent years in our educational system that is broken, it’s been broken for decades, centuries here. It’s just really a shame, because we’re not really teaching the children.

the anatomy of how for them to succeed. So what they do is they go through school, they learn and what have you, and then they tell you need to continue your education, get your degree. And guess what? They go ahead, then they pile up all this debt, right? And then it really doesn’t help them because they’re not even in the subject where they’re working at. So they find something else to do because whatever they studied has nothing to do with

The real world anatomy, and then what they incur all this debt, and they’re lost. So my whole narrative is to teach children at a young age, right? and talking about, get them in about eight years old, maybe seven years old, start introducing curriculum, subjects, cybersecurity, technology, app application, to develop apps, that’s huge.

and plumbing, electrical, HVC, all trades, vocational trades, so and then get them to work at age 12. So they have literacy and communications with people. They understand how everything works, how it is to work, how to derive the revenue and have it over infiltrated in their abilities, right?

They see their accounts grow because it’s close till age 18. At age 18, it’s accumulated. Meanwhile, in school, we teach them how it is to in get into a contract, how to have impeccable credit, and how to get into home ownership so they have their own home. and then build homes affordably so they could enter into homeownership. And hopefully we could also reduce the rates to 4%, 3%. So in all the ways.

They have enough money to afford a house, right? With the interest rates low. They have even the leisure to go ahead and save their money and further invest their money into further portfolios in real estate. Or if they want, they could go on vacation, have a good time. whatever they want to do. that this way we feed them the opportunities that is needed and they succeed.

and then they’re not lost. And then we channel them in different anatomies or directions, such as the military, if they want to go in the military. So after high school, everybody knows what they’re doing. They’re not confused. They go either to the military, they either open their own businesses, either they go into a vocational career, or if they want to continue their education, you’re welcome too.

And I believe, all of this should be tools that should be handed to them so that they can succeed here in the United States. And also the wealth gap should be about I would say 80%. Now we’re at one or two percent, which really is a shame. I think we should have more people in the wealth game. and then this way, everybody, nobody’s struggling, everybody is working hard.

And they’re achieving success. And that’s what I’m all about. So I’m a blueprint of this. I also, by the way, I have a book called Resilience. and all of you should go out and buy a copy, read it, and see how I start. I start basically with nothing, just a credit card with passion and a heart and soul of succeeding, learning my way in real life, not in school.

But in real life, how it is to build wealth and in the real estate game and the monopoly game. Rolling the dice, but rolling the dice in the way of success, you learn as you go along.

Issa Hanna (12:24)

that.

Barak Zilberberg (12:25)

I got hit, but as they say, you stand back up and you move forward.

Issa Hanna (12:29)

and to the viewers at home watching this, that watch the show a lot, you always hear it. I asked everybody, give me a real estate nightmare. Barak just gave you a life lesson right now. just like the Rocky movie, you stand up and you keep moving forward. I always say this, I said, you never lose, you always learn. So even if you get into the real estate, you might lose some money here and there, you’re gonna learn a valuable lesson next time, God forbid, you encounter that problem, you’re gonna know exactly how to get out of it.

And I want to backtrack to something your plans for the children for the future. amazing, right? The old system, guys, the old way of doing things, the industrial revolution way. we need to change, right? It needs to change. You need to teach kids now real life skills, how to maneuver, how to work in today’s world, right? college, college might not be for everybody. So Barak is like, hey.

We’re going to teach you guys that way by the time you get out of high school, you want to know what direction you’re in. Because back in the 60s, the 70s, college was not as expensive as it is today. Another thing I want to touch on, knowing finance, right? when you know interest and the way interest works and how much money every month gets taken out piece by piece from your wealth, you will never pay interest again. You’ll do everything in your

power to avoid taking loans, doing any of that stuff. This is somebody who understands that game completely. He’s bringing it into politics. man, I’m excited. You’re kind of earning my vote right now as we speak, Barak. I’m loving it. I want to ask you, what made you want to get into politics? it’s definitely a stressful game. you’re a public figure now. People are going to attack you. we’ve all seen dirty campaigns run. So what made you want to subject yourself to this?

And go from the real estate world into politics.

Barak Zilberberg (14:50)

Well, what it is resilience. Not only that, viewing the fact see I’m in politics, I’ve been viewing it since the age of five. watching sixty minutes with my father every Sunday night. So I saw presidents, diplomats, I saw senators, congresspeople. it’s just amazing. It just it was so interesting for me to watch the events and how

leaders are going ahead in initiatives of helping people. And what I’ve seen is it’s very corrupt over time, and it doesn’t work, and basically it’s time that someone comes in there wholeheartedly with transparency and with heart and soul and love for the country and love for the people to bring it to the table for the American people.

they’re basically shareholders of the United States of America. the person that is sitting in that office is the CEO of, technically, I’m talking to you in business. That’s how I’m talking to you. So the person sitting there is the CEO, and the CEO is in charge of making sure that the employees and the people that are working,

Towards the nation and bringing the tax revenue and everything so that they have the benefits of the beautiful country and giving them dividends. First off, we got to get out of our deficit. That’s number one. We’re already over $40 trillion in deficit. Not only that, we’re paying about over a billion dollars a day just in interest. It’s ridiculous, And we’re when inflation is going up, and guess who’s paying that? We, the taxpayers. So

As a citizen, I’m talking to you of how I analyze everything. And I’m looking at it as a business perspective, whereas I want to get out of the deficit and I want to start paying dividends to the shareholders, which are the American people. What I would like to do also is emphasize on infrastructure, bringing high-speed railing systems to the United States where we could.

Go ahead and transit very easily and productively. Not only that, widen our highways, build wholeheartedly infrastructure. I’m a builder, so I believe in building. Not only that, I’m into affordable housing. So what I like to do is in Nevada, where I’ve campaigned, is I’ve always seeked

In my campaigns to open up the federal lands, 80% of our land is owned by the federal government, opening it up and then bringing industries made in USA, bringing manufacturing back to our nation where we’re not so reliant on other countries. We have minerals, we have oil here, we have resources and sources here.

That is incredible. Why are we fishing outside and getting our food when we have our food and everything here? Helping our farmers, helping the American families, and bringing the American families into the workplace. Also, the immigration policy, making it inviting for good, loyal, beautiful people. Give them work permits and also Social Security cards.

Admit them into the United States, have them part of the workforce here, make it a huge workforce here, whereas we could produce our own goods and our own needs, and we’re self-sufficient in the nation, so we’re not reliant on any country or any city or any. So that’s my whole anatomy. And also I wanted to bring Nevada into a multi-trillion dollar corporation.

Just from our minerals that we have here. We have gold, silver, we have oil, we have lithium. Lithium is a huge one. And bring the numbers really high so we could develop the state like no other in the Union. And as they say, battle-born Nevada. Now, to have the same blueprint is what I’ve my initiatives for Nevada, to have the same blueprint for the whole nation.

That’s my whole notion. And that’s why my eyes on the prize and the eyes on a presidential in 2028. Hopefully, I could sit in the White House and Oval Office and bring those initiatives to life. And that’s my whole goal. And it’s not about me, folks. It’s about you out there. I’m just working simply for you, not for me. Okay.

Nothing is about me. I have my money. I have everything. I got enough passive income. I’m happy. I don’t need much neither. I can live in a trailer for all I care. I could live anywhere, and I move around pretty quickly. So it really isn’t for me. It’s for you, the American people. And it’s time that we have a leader that is out there for you and not for themselves. And that’s what I’ve noticed and witnessed.

Throughout the whole course within the anatomy of politics, which is really sad. And I know you guys feel that way too, and I feel that way too because I view it and I see it and every day, and it just really is mind-boggling and it’s very disruptive. And they’re in there just to be in there for their reasons because they’re either in trouble, there’s all kinds of stuff. You have Epstein files, you have.

and then they have wars because they try to disrupt everything so that you’re not really focusing on the real issues of the leaders that are sitting in here, So wars go out, right? And then guess what? The wars that are happening, who’s paying for it? We are paying for it, us taxpayers. So

Issa Hanna (20:25)

Amazing.

Barak Zilberberg (20:26)

by disrupting everything and doing everything that is going on.

they have they’ve dodged the subjects of the real issues. And we really we have crooks and criminals that are polic that are in leadership and politics. These are kind of people you’re voting in. so people think of when you go to the voting ballot in the polls, think of who you’re voting in. It’s very important.

Issa Hanna (20:51)

One hundred percent. spoken like a true American, echoing the concerns of Americans, right? doesn’t matter what side you’re on, what class you are, we’re all concerned about these issues, right? The affordability in our country, just the national debt, everything like that. You have a plan for all of it. unreal. And we are here in the United States, we’re sitting on the largest natural resource reserves in the world.

so the fact that you want to tap into that, you wanna bring generate revenue from that, and you want to get out of our debt, and then you wanna pay what you’re calling, which it’s a hundred percent true, the shareholders, us, the citizens, a dividend of literally our buying power, our economy, the number one economy in the world. truly unbelievable, spoken like a true American, coming in with the purest intentions, and like you said.

You could just live your life. You go to Miami Beach and sit on the beach and sit my ties all day and not care. You can afford the inflation. You can do all that. You care because and you’re doing this because you’re an American who wants to come in and change it and make lives better for their countrymen. truly unbelievable. So now, twenty twenty eight i is a few years away, right? I look you up in five years, Barak. Five years from now. Am I gonna see you in the White House?

Barak Zilberberg (22:43)

God willing. Yeah. Also, my book is called Resilience, but I’m now making a movie from my book. and basically we’re gonna go ahead and make a movie from the book. and I’m just looking for millions and millions of views as to see who truly I am. and I like to present myself to everybody.

hopefully that’ll transition into votes. If it does transition into votes, God willing, then you’ll see me in the White House. If the votes the voting system is legitimate, now that’s another

It’s not legitimate. It’s not legitimate at all, folks. I’m telling you, you think you’re voting out there, but really, I don’t know. your vote doesn’t really count because

In all due respect, I’ve been in the game already for four years, and in the real political world, as a gubernatorial and as a presidential candidate, and the voting system is illegitimate. It’s all it’s definitely rigged.

And basically, you got people that are sitting there for 30 years as career politicians, and they believe they’re entitled to be in that position. And it’s all geared in a certain way, whereas they’re elected. you see, all of a sudden a guy comes out of a blue like me. Like, who’s this guy? He thinks he’s gonna be president, he, he hasn’t done anything, he hasn’t served, he hasn’t

He has no knowledge. but I tell you the truth, they love me. You know why they love me? Because I put in my policies as a as a candidate that basically policymakers are adapting to now. So I brought the desalination process of our water here in Nevada. they’re joking. This guy is he’s nuts, he’s out of control. But guess what? They signed.

already it into a policy. And not only that, the affordable housing they’re looking at as to what I’m subjectively announced and prescribed. Affordable housing’s coming to play within Nevada. A lot of subjects and now they’re coming in with the schooling that I’ve prescribed as well,

All these billionaires are coming out. And not it’s not only in Nevada as to what they’re taking the policymakers of my visions, also the United States is. So to me, I’ve won. Doesn’t matter, they say, I’m an outsider, I only won one percent of the vote. They could say whatever they want, but in all due respect, they’re taking my visions.

And my policies and setting them in. and they’re inscribed. Not only that, guess what? I’m a Republican, but I’m a hairline over, I’m a centrist. So I believe as a businessman, because I work with all races, all religions, sexual orientations, anything you could you could think of. And I just, I love people. Yeah. I don’t look at anybody stereotype or in a way where I’m judgmental.

I look them in the eyes, I see what kind of soul I’m dealing with, and I make deals. that’s all. So I’ve signed so many deals with people all across all different aisles. And I made things happen. And that’s how we have to work towards our nation here. and if you think of it, we’re all creeds, colors, religions, anything you could think of that exists in this nation. So we must be very inviting.

And we got to get rid of the hatred and the anti-Semitism in this nation and throughout the world, but it starts here first. If we can present that type of loving, nurturing and embracement and quality environment here in the United States, then it’ll trickle effect to the rest of the world. And we’re not having that right now. So

Issa Hanna (26:30)

100%. we are the melting pot right here in the United States. We are all races, all creeds, all religions. the division that we have, the hatred, is not something that is very American. And then we are the trendsetters of the world. So like Barak said, we end the hate. we are a republic for the people, by the people, made up of all different kinds of people. once we set that example, hey.

We are getting along for the greater good of our nation. It’s going to trickle down to the world 1000%. Barak, unbelievable, unbelievable plans you have coming. and you know what? The last outsider that came in from real estate to the politics, guess what he did? he came in and he really made some waves. And guess what? He’s on his second presidential run. So don’t tell me real estate guys can’t come in and run the country.

like Barak said, all he does is put out fires, make decisions, look towards the future. It translates so well, and it’s very refreshing to hear one thousand percent. So now to the viewers at home, Barak. If people wanted to get a hold of you, they wanted to follow you, see what you’re more about on your website, where could they reach you? Where could they find you?

Barak Zilberberg (27:36)

No, I just wanna help. And I believe I was born to help. So here I am, here to help you.
